Usa: created the office for religious freedom and conscience

US Catholic doctors celebrated the creation of an office for freedom of religion and conscience within the Department of Health and Human Services. The purpose of the new government body is to guarantee the application of the laws in force to protect the freedom of conscience of professionals and companies operating in the healthcare sector, sector particularly exposed to the risk of abuse by bodies and providers of family planning programmes.
The goal is to prevent anyone from being forced to participate in activities that violate their conscience such as abortion, sterilization, contraception and assisted suicide, one of the main causes – apparently, instead – of exclusion of Catholic doctors from residency programs.
The establishment of this body is another piece of the pro-life intentions clearly expressed by the Trump Administration and represents a halt to discriminatory policies that have been too widespread until now.. According to the director of this new office, Roger Severino, it is thus intended to demonstrate how «the laws of conscience are not empty words on paper, but guarantees of justice for the victims» of abuse. The centre-right paradox, who risks winning the elections (and collapse a minute later)

Image results for center-rightReport Linkiesta
Allies more by force than by will, Salvini and Berlusconi gain consensus with every survey, enough to actually risk winning the elections. A scenario that would give rise to a government of opposites unique in the world: with Merkel, but also with Le Pen. For the Euro, but also against. Congratulations
Of Francesco Cancellato

There are pranks that end badly, battles born to be lost than later, for a twist of fate, they end up being winners. This is the case of Donald Trump, whose staff wanted everything, if he says, other than winning elections. And who knows if this is not the case with Silvio Berlusconi, That, say those in the know, he wanted everything except to govern with Giorgia Meloni and, above all, Matteo Salvini. He allied himself with it, in conclusion, because he took it for granted that the center-right would never be able to gain the majority of Parliament. And what, once in power, he would have easily managed to free himself from the unwanted embrace of his allies, to join in an inevitable re-edition of the Nazarene Pact with Matteo Renzi.
And instead, surprise, the unthinkable is happening. Renzi's consensus is decreasing month after month, victim of a curse that, paradoxically, took over the Democratic Party and its leader despite the popularity of the Gentiloni government and the increasingly positive data on the Italian economy, in an almost paradoxical disconnect between perception and reality, as well as due to the disturbing action of Liberi e Uguali. Also the Five Star Movement, despite still firmly being the first party, seems to be losing ground, partly due to Di Maio's inexperience, partly due to the disengagement of Di Battista and Grillo, a bit for a political proposal so far well beyond the limits of embarrassment. All this while the Lega and Fratelli d'Italia hold their own and the old Berlusconi – who perhaps just wants to get one more vote than Salvini – he manages to gain consensus every time he opens his mouth.

Taiwan is now sounding the alarm: “China is ready to attack us”

OLYCOM_20171228162745_25368106
The tension between the two does not seem destined to end China e Taiwan. The speech of Xi Jinping al Communist Party congress had certified the will of the Chinese leader, in the medium term, to regain control of the island, which instead asks to be recognized as an independent state. On the Chinese side, the issue is not even remotely acceptable. Taiwan is considered an integral part of China and in Beijing they are also willing to move the armed forces if the need arises to repress a concrete attempt by the Taiwanese government to declare independence. The anti-secession law promulgated in 2005 under the presidency of Hu Jintao and the premiership of Wen Jiabao is very clear: the Chinese government may use "non-peaceful means" against the "Taiwan independence movement" if the Taipei government declares independence. A formal declaration is needed? According to Beijing's elastic interpretation it would seem to be unnecessary, as an operation that jeopardizes Chinese sovereignty over the area would be enough. In this sense, And important to remember the words of Li Kexin, who in Washington spoke of the arrival of an American ship as a gesture that would lead to the immediate invasion of the island by the Chinese armed forces. Deficit, Salvini breaks away: "Tetto al 3%? non esiste". And the anti-euro professor is nominating

Bagnai e Villages on the field with the League. Salvini makes it clear: “If it does damage, the roof to 3% it doesn't exist”. And about the euro: “It's a failed experiment”
Of Sergio Rame
Deficit is euro. Matteo Salvini is released from’European Union.
“The little number 3, if it damages savings, families and work, it doesn't exist for us”, attacks by criticizing the limit of 3% of the deficit/GDP ratio imposed by Brussels. “European constraints are a cage, we want to open it and if we succeed with everyone's agreement we will be very happy – continues in the press conference in Montecitorio- if we were instead under blackmail, for us the national interest will come first”.
Salvini's strategy is clear right from the choice of candidates. See you next policies Alberto Bagnai he will be a candidate with the League in various Regions. Dal 2005 associate professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Economics of the Gabriele d'Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara, where he teaches Economic Policy and Economics and Politics of Globalization, has a clear anti-euro position. Claudio Borghi, economic manager of the League, he was instead chosen by the leader of the Northern League “to challenge the Minister of Economy, Pier Carlo Padoan”, in the college of Siena. “I think that Siena is a constituency that the left has already taken for granted, but it will be disputed – Salvini explained – we want to offer a different future compared to the tragedies of the past”. The Battle of the League, In short, it is clear. And it has never changed. “More Europe right now means handing the flask of whiskey to an alcoholic”, continues ensuring that the party “does not deny any possibility to defend the savings and work of Italians” since “a country that does not control its economy, his currency, its borders and its banks are not completely free. It will be a complicated journey, but we have a team behind us that is ready”. Read More

Enough with the myth of the curriculum: to do well in politics you need anything but that

Think, as Berlusconi and Di Maio do, that having a work CV is essential to becoming a politician is a mystification. It would be a good idea to focus less on the candidates' CVs and more on the parties' ability to choose the right people. (Of Flavia Perina, LAWS)
