Minister Fontana confirms his patronage and participation in the Verona Conference
The government's patronage at the Verona conference on the family is confirmed. This was reported in the Montecitorio chamber during question time by the Minister for the Family Lorenzo Fontana, answering two parliamentary questions presented respectively by representatives of the Democratic Party and the Brothers of Italy.“Some news that has appeared in recent days, specifies Minister Fontana, are devoid of any foundation: I confirm the government's intent to grant patronage to the event, decided in November; and I confirm my participation in the conference”.
“The organizing committee of the World Congress of Families has submitted a formal request for patronage to my offices in the past months, forwarding all the necessary documents, recalls Fontana, e
after an in-depth analysis and evaluation of the documentation received, patronage was granted last November, while for the logo the matter belongs to the Information and Publishing Department”.
Furthermore, assures Fontana, “no request for revocation of patronage was made, neither political nor administrative in nature, but only for in-depth investigation of some technical aspects, relating for example to the payment of an entrance ticket, clarifying that the initiative cannot have any profit-making purpose.

Il 73% of Italians would be in favor of euthanasia. This is confirmed by recent research by Eurispes. However, if we go on to discern the search criteria and the specific contents of the individual questions, we discover a slightly different reality. At least the 60% of Italians, for example, they declare themselves against assisted suicide, different from euthanasia only in modality but certainly not in substance. Not to mention the countless reservations expressed by that 73% of favorable ones, there is even one 77,5% of interviewees who would allow euthanasia only in the event of an "irreversible coma", or brain death, considered by most scientific literature as death everything short.
