Our poster campaign against rented wombs and homoparenting (see below the email in which I announced the campaign)it had a huge resonance… even beyond our expectations! All the newspapers, radio and media have been talking about it for days. The parties lined up, famous people, organizations… the reactions to the truths recalled by the posters are crazy!

L’Eurocamera, meeting in plenary in Strasbourg, rejected the start of negotiations with the Council (318 no, 278 yes and 31 abstained) on a proposed directive that had split the Assembly in half. Now the discussion of the proposal is postponed to the next plenary, in September, but it is likely that the text on the digital single market is destined to run aground on further amendments between now and the end of the legislature. Also because time is running out: in May 2019 we return to the polls for the European elections and the assembly that is expected to be "quite different".

In Syria the emergency continues!

Bombings of homes and hospitals are the order of the day. The number of deaths, injured and displaced is dramatic and there is a desperately in need of medical attention.
Health facilities under attack, doctors killed, injured or fled the country, people who don't go to hospital for fear of being hit. Diseases that can be prevented or treated, now they lead to death. We are worried because of the intensification of the conflict most children have not been vaccinated and are at risk for diseases such as measles, rubella, tetanus or pneumonia.
Despite the limitations of access to the country, we treat war wounded and those who have suffered serious psychological trauma, we assist those suffering from chronic diseases and vaccinate children to prevent the spread of epidemics.
