Analogously to similar initiatives (he C.S.. Giuseppe Federici in Rimini, he C. S. Davide Albertario in MiIano and C. S. Giacomo Margotti in Turin), and in collaboration with the “Mater Boni Consilii” Institute, the “Don Paolo De Töth” Study Center was born from inspiration, already from the name, to this authentically and integrally Catholic priest: certainly one of the main exponents of the so-called "Integral Catholics" who fought Modernism all his life, unmasking it and attacking it in all its implications in the various areas of religious and civil life, aware that this is heresy (or better, 'heap of all heresies' according to the famous definition that Saint Pius. Feeding), it could not be underestimated or even considered surpassed, as unfortunately the vast majority of Catholics of the time believed it, thus allowing it to survive and spread everywhere.

Now a century after the beginning of that terrible battle, which Don De Töth bravely addressed from the columns of the Fede e Ragione magazine which he founded and directed (of which the first number is dated December 1919), we want to reread the indications from Don Paolo's own words, the projects and the many teachings that we are convinced will still help many Catholics today, that they want to remain so, to be compliant with Faith without renouncing Reason:

“OUR MAGAZINE IS CREATED TO DEFEND THE INTEGRITY OF THE CATHOLIC DOCTRINE AND WITH THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE THAT THE SAME DOCTRINE WILL RETURN TO BE AND BE MADE THE SUPREME NORM OF ALL MANIFESTATIONS OF THE THOUGHT AND LIFE OF CATHOLICS”.

“Faith and Reason arises not only to remember and reaffirm what, on the various points mentioned, teaches and imposes Catholic doctrine, the doctrine of the Church, but to still be a gathering center for Catholics, priests and lay people, they intend to join us to oppose frank and courageous action to the intrusiveness of the harmful principles of liberalism, from naturalism to secularism, which threaten to overwhelm all our activities”.

"We are, first, purely and integrally Catholic in this sense that we recognize the full right of the doctrine, of the discipline and directives of the Church not only on the individual and in strictly religious matters, but on society still, and in this regard as well as any mixed question, or be such that even indirectly it affects faith and morality".

“We hope that our appeal will find broad consensus and correspondence among our Catholic brothers, that they hear, like us, the gravity of the hour, what a turn, and they yearn for that Christian restoration which alone will be able to give our society its peace. So let's get to work!”

This Study Center is therefore proposed - particularly in Tuscany where Don Paolo de Töth lived at least since March 1908, when called by Saint Pius, and until 25 December 1965, when he died in his parish of Maiano – to keep alive the memory of the life and thought of Don Paolo de Töth, to take care of the publication of his writings or studies on his person and his work, to organize conferences, conferences or initiatives in his memory, to take care of his mortal remains that rest in the cemetery of Fiesole and to support his soul with prayer and the Holy. Sacrifice of the Mass. Our Study Center, In short, would ideally like to receive the witness of that competition undertaken and always supported by Don De Töth 'usque ad mortem' for the social Kingdom of Our Lord Jesus Christ and for the Roman Catholic Church founded by Him, and we sincerely hope, invoking the intercession of the Apostle of the Gentiles, that we too at the end of our life's race and after having fought the good fight, we will have fully preserved FAITH, without which it is impossible to please God.
