Arquata del Tronto (province of Ascoli Piceno) it is a small village of approx 1.600 inhabitants, which almost climbs 800 meters above sea level. The earthquake of approx 2 years ago he destroyed it almost entirely.
After the earthquake, rescuers found an intact tabernacle under a collapsed church, which was placed by the Carabinieri in a warehouse so that it would not be lost.
A few days ago (more than a year and a half after the earthquake) the Carabinieri returned the tabernacle (which had remained locked) to the parish priest, who after opening it found the pyx still closed with approximately 40 hosts completely intact, without any trace of mold or aging of the Sacred Species.
