Trump's empire
Idiot and winner: Trump in the Middle East is more dangerous than ever (but so far he hasn't missed a single one)
Strengthen ties with Saudis (who are massacring Yemenis). Let Iran starve, also preventing Europeans from having access to their markets. The Donald will be an idiot, but now the USA is in charge in the Middle East. The problem is what happens next
I don't like you. I'm bigger than you or anyone else. So, even if everyone says I'm wrong, I'll accuse you of something and starve you. You can always find some deniers around, of those who wave the pall of democracy to confuse your sight and ideas. But what is happening between the USA and Iran is only the most recent chapter in the long and inglorious history of colonialism and imperialism, which have been working in the Middle East for quite some time.
Like in the early twentieth century, when France and the United Kingdom enjoyed creating states like Jordan out of hand, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Iraq. Or in 1979, when the Soviet empire told the Afghans: Don't worry, we'll bring you socialism. You don't give a damn? It does not matter, we bring it anyway. Or in 2003, when the US and the UK decided to rid the world of Saddam Hussein's non-existent weapons of mass destruction and devastated Iraq. As in 2011, when France and the United Kingdom, together with the USA, they thought it was convenient to disintegrate Libya. As in 2011 Still, when the usual suspects thought of exploiting the anti-Assad protest to erase Syria as a unitary country and were in turn played by Vladimir Putin's Russia.
Even those who don't let themselves be blackmailed by those who talk about values in front and peddle bombs behind them, but, finds it difficult to realize two now evident facts. The first is that the Big and Small Games have always been played by at least two people: Russia and the United Kingdom, France and the United Kingdom, USA and UK… Now, Instead, The USA plays it alone and it is a Great Game. The second fact is this: the USA, those of Donald Trump, they are winning.
In becoming aware of the events, we Europeans are very late because we screwed ourselves by listening to the myriad of salamis on the boat who treated Trump like an idiot. At best, an idiot paid by the Russians. Ora, Trump may also be an idiot (school hypothesis, you don't become president of the Americans if you are) but somewhere, next to him, there must be someone who isn't at all. On the contrary.
Just do a little chronology. Trump takes office in the White House on 20 January of 2017 and inherits Barack Obama's most sensational defeat. A month earlier, Indeed, the Russians and Assad's army have reconquered Aleppo, thus certifying the failure of the regime change planned for Syria. Trump or whoever, changes little, It takes a moment to draw conclusions. In May, he was in Saudi Arabia supplying weapons to the regime that finances Islamist terrorism the most, in October he announced his intention to cancel the nuclear agreement with Iran (it will officially do so in May 2018). Meanwhile, ISIS, that from 2014 lived peacefully between Syria and Iraq under the bombing of a coalition of 60 Countries that never hit the target, it has become a useless tool in the face of the Russian-Syrian victory, thus it is liquidated. Extinct within a few months in Raqqa, Mosul is Bargouz, after years of peaceful residence in the Caliphate. The United States, who armed and supported him, Thus they regain their virginity.
With a few precise moves and in less than a year, the Idiot has changed all the cards on the table in the Middle East. He came out of the corner, he redesigned the field by enlarging it to a size impossible for Russia to handle, he chose another target (Iran instead of Syria) to achieve the same goal (control the Middle East through Sunni petromonarchies), he set up and strengthened an unprecedented alliance (that between Israel and Saudi Arabia) which holds the region in a grip of intelligence and military capacity on the one hand and bottomless money and terrorist groups on the other.
Look what is happening to Iran, a country of 83 million inhabitants where the 40% of the population has less than 24 years. According to the International Monetary Fund, US sanctions have caused the country's economy to collapse 4% last year and at least the 6% this year, while inflation gallops beyond 50%. To keep the boat afloat, the Islamic Republic would need the price of oil to be at 126 dollars per barrel, while the market prices crude oil at 72.
In essence the idea is: I starve you, then do it yourself. And again: if Trump doesn't have it, someone around him certainly has the brains. Certainly not that beast John Bolton, who would also bomb his mother if they let him and in the meantime he would like to fill the Middle East with American soldiers. The idiot who makes US politics knows that that sea of young Iranians have a very strong sense of nation and that an attack on Iran would not be a walk in the park like the one against Iraq. Neither there nor elsewhere.
The Iranian question, Then, it serves the US to keep everyone in line. When the White House canceled the agreement 2015, he said it was necessary to do so because Iran was not respecting the pacts. And that the sanctions would also hit European companies that did not align. The European Union puffed out its chest and replied: It is not true, the agreement works, Iran does what it must and we will take steps to continue to have political and trade relations with the Islamic Republic. Indeed. The EU did nothing about it and the big European companies immediately put their tails between their legs and went home.
As, while the American economy is booming (and here too, let's think of all the articles about the disaster that Trump would have caused), Europe is holding its breath and begging the White House not to change those tariffs on cars which would be the ruin of France and Germany, already affected by the tightening of steel and aluminum export conditions.
And then there are the sanctions against Russia, the trade war with China, the fury over Venezuela, the war in Yemen which we really struggle to deal with, we Europeans without balls but with great hunger for money. Even now we would gladly turn our gaze while there is a ship loaded with weapons, la “Bahri Yanbu”, one of six in the Saudi arms transfer fleet, which is rejected by Italian ports but which has been shuttling between EU ports for months to load bombs with which to massacre Yemeni civilians, what's more, traveling most of the time with the transponder turned off so as not to be detected. The Empire is back, In short, and there is no Luke Skywalker who can blow up the Death Star. The Idiot's politics are horrifying. But it brings with it a significant novelty: it's a winner.
