Of which the newly formed yellow-green government is the "son". ? Certainly of electoral consensus, collected by the Five Star Movement and the League, today representative of the majority of the Italian people, even beyond mere parliamentary numbers. However, political data alone is not enough.
There are also metapolitical factors, which come to mark the nascent experience of government and underline it, well beyond the programs, the distinctive features. They represent the synthesis of visions and trends that have now settled at the level of public opinion, visions and trends that everyone will finally have to start dealing with, avoiding easy schematizations and preconceived theses.
Meanwhile, there is the long wave of anti-politics, dispensed, in recent years with full hands, through the anti-caste culture and television simplifications: that of complaints about public funding quadrupled in the space of a few years, on inflated “election reimbursements”., on the privileges of parliamentarians, on entertainment expenses without control, on corruption, on political dynasties.
There is the disappearance of old ideological affiliations, of the flag parties, behind which the small and large ambitions of a voracious caste have too often hidden.
There is the transformation of an unscrupulous political class, ready to pass indifferently from right to left and perhaps again from left to right without respect for those who voted for him.
There is distrust towards the media elites, economical, financial and institutional, perceived as oligarchies turned in on themselves and concerned only with their interests.
There are disorganized processes of modernization and globalization, which continue to increase economic precariousness, social differences and people's uncertainties.
There is a strong demand for discontinuity compared to the continuity of the past, a continuity that has united centre-left and centre-right majorities.
There is an end to false moderation, expression of a politically gray area, made of compromises and substantial immobility.
Ours - let's be clear - is not a judgment on the merits of a government in formation (because the judgment of merit on the action of a government must be given with respect to its concrete action). Ours is an acknowledgment, compared to a long-term process that now seems to have reached a synthesis.
A political generation and with it a certain idea of public affairs is over. A new one appears in the government. More than a change at the top, we are dealing with a "system" change. With what prospects it is premature to say. It will be the facts, more than the old memberships, to make a "difference".
P.S. EDITORIAL: E’ a pragmatic and shareable opinion. We can add something that no one has said yet? This time too there is no metapolitical reference to Jesus Christ. Not even a mere reference.
