Monstrous. Frightening. Wicked. It's strange like today, in Middle East, the words are simply missing. Sixty Palestinians dead. In one day. Two thousand four hundred injured, more than half from live ammunition. In one day. These numbers are an outrage, an escape from morality, a source of infamy for every army.
And we should believe that the Israeli army is that of the “purity of weapons”? And we have another question to ask. If I'm there this week 60 Palestinian deaths per day, what will happen if there are any next week 600? O 6.000 next month? Israel's squalid justifications (and the crude American response) they raise exactly this question. If we can now accept a massacre of this magnitude, how long our immune system can handle in the days, in the weeks and months to come?
And, we know all the excuses. C'era Hamas (corrupt, cynical, no “purity” here) behind the demonstrations in Gaza. Some of the protesters were violent, they sent burning kites (kites, holy heaven) beyond the border, others threw stones; and anyway, since when, in all civilized nations, throwing stones has become a capital crime? If an eight-month-old baby dies after inhaling tear gas, what the parents thought they were doing by bringing their little son to the Gaza border? And so on. Why complain about dead Palestinians when there are Sisis in Egypt, the Assads in Syria and the Saudis in Yemen to deal with? Ma well, Palestinians must always be guilty.
The victims are also the perpetrators. This is exactly what the Palestinians have had to endure for 70 years. Remember how they were blamed for their own exodus, seventy years ago, because they had followed the indications of some radio broadcasts, who invited them to abandon their homes until the Jews of Israel were "thrown back into the sea”? Just that, Obviously, these radio broadcasts had never existed. However, we must thank the Israeli "new historians" who provided the evidence. And now we come to the most horrendous of all the disastrous events of last week: the bloodbath in Gaza e, in the present, the splendid inauguration of the new one American embassy in Jerusalem.

They had locked the door of the house, many of them, thinking of returning in a few days.
But they are dying fast, that whole generation, like the dead of the Second World War. Even in the oral archives of the Palestinian exodus (at least the voices of at least are recorded there 800 survivors) which are located at the American University of Beirut, it turns out that many, whose voice had been recorded in the late 1990s, they are already dead.
And then, they will go home? “They will return”? Because in Gaza there are families whose grandfathers and grandmothers had been kicked out of their homes, less than a mile from Gaza itself, from two villages that were located exactly where the Israeli city of Sderot is today, often targeted by Hamas rockets. They can still see their lands. And when you can see your land, it makes you want to go home.
