Why has the M5S still achieved so much despite some stumbles in recent months? Voting for him is an act of faith?

It is an act of rejection towards the behavior of the "professional politicians" who have led Italy for many decades. And express, in this sense, a preference that cannot be shaken by some gap in the relationship between promises and reality.

Why has he not lost consensus despite the anthropological change of the party?

Because for now he has managed to conciliate the "old" voters, who hope to see it retain the old "grillini" protest connotations and the new ones, who appreciated the "institutional" turning point. The real problem will be managing to maintain this composite character in the future.
