There is one emergency among others in Italy, not the most important, God forbid, but perhaps the most conspicuous. AND the monopoly of the public narrative, an indecent spectacle. State information, and a large part of the private one, every day he churns out a one-sided version of the facts according to the ideological-political canon of the left. Even now that the left does not govern and represents a highly minority share of Italian citizens. On the contrary, the collapse of consensus and credibility accentuates rather than attenuates the bias of information, also to establish an alibi in advance: the nominees want to be seen as victims of purge when new appointments are made, given that the political shareholder of reference who has always appointed the top management has changed. And so for preventive purposes they increase the doses of their factionalism to then pass as martyrs of the Idea and the Profession. Read More

The left invents the danger of racism…che non c'è

Reporting of BastaBugie editorial team

The immigrant is the new image of the proletarian, for this reason it has become sacred and untouchable (therefore every news story is a pretext to fuel this myth)
Of Rino Cammilleri

(AUTOMATIC READING)
The emigrant is sacred and woe to anyone who touches him. Six then is African, it is even more sacred. President Mattarella, for example, on a state visit to Armenia, to placing a wreath of flowers on the genocide shrine together with the Armenian president, it does not imitate the latter, making the sign of the cross, therefore not even the genocide memorial is sacred to him. But raise your voice against Italy-farwest if an idiot shoots compressed air at a nomadic little girl. A girl of Nigerian origin gets an egg in her eye and here's all the newspapers and TV news counting, every time they break the news, of how many black people have made a fool of themselves in the last month because of white people. Surely Tg2 will put it, if it continues like this, the number at the top right of the screen, as well as for "feminicides". Meaning what, whenever there is a case, it will remind us of all the previous ones, so that Italians do not forget the sacred duty of sanctifying the migrant. Read More

The future of Sovereignty

The future of SovereigntyA RELIABLE OPINION TO REFLECT ON
Of Roberto Siconolfi
Source: Heretically
The entire political-ideological movement linked to the sovereignist/populist alignment moves in a context and in a series of precise directions. Continuing along this path new questions arise, on crucial choices which can be responded to either with the dry alternative or with the affirmation of a plural ideological-political wave which despite having a very distinct central axis, contains “different” if not even “contrasting” options. As for the context, starting from the most obvious aspect, we must take note of the definitive drying up of the left political area but more precisely of Marxism. The death of Domenico Losurdo embodies a symbolic end of all "intellectually honest" Marxism with which it is still worth dealing and with which one can also find points of convergence for very concrete political battles. The same can be said for certain political subjectivities, representatives of that area. However, we must realize that Marxism is completely finished, and not for reasons of who knows what historical significance. It has reached its lowest point, the “0” of its descending parable.
The new era, the new millennium, the possibility of looking with a broad historical perspective must bring, and already brings, for those who haven't noticed, to the affirmation or rather the "return" of completely different principles and values that would be more appropriate to define as "spiritual". The inconsistency and "desolation" of the "materialist" and "economist" proposal of Marxism is very little in comparison and is no longer even felt. It is no coincidence that these war remnants of intellectuals, various groups and small groups, they no longer know what to do with the current phase. The worst of them bark fascist and racist, the best present us with the usual pappardelle about socialist revolutions, with the "economy at the center of everything" and the "class struggle" as the engine of historical changes. Media versus people

FIFTH COLUMN

Media versus people
Source: Marcello Veneziani
Cara Lilli Gruber, but how can Italians trust you if you write about itSet a comment with a title like that: “All populists lie. They are dangerous and opportunistic"? And the title faithfully responds to the development. He knows he's offending three-quarters of his viewers?
Like the 60% I feel like one of the Italians right now, with all the critical reservations that I do not hide, more on the side of the populists than their enemies. And I'm not just offended by his definition, how hurt by Italian, as a journalist and free thinker. I would never use a statement like that even for the worst enemies; I would distinguish, I wouldn't feel in possession of the truth. I don't bet on the success of this government, I say it every day. And it surprises me that the one attacking in that way is the one who was generous with the Grillini and their sponsors, to the point that often – even the other day with the embarrassing, rambling, Dibba's rant – gave the impression of being Grilli Uber. I don't hold the inconsistency against you, they are his business, I know that grillini are fine for her if they hang to the left, if instead they ally themselves with Salvini they become bad. There are people who still divide humanity into fascists and anti-fascists, and reality is lost, the present, the world, 70 years of history, communism even.
Through her, actually, I take it out on the media, the Press and TV which are offering a disgusting and desolating spectacle: the Italians on one side and them united on the side of the establishment. I wouldn't have expected the opposite but at least a variety of positions and the ability to distinguish and analyze; someone equidistant, someone else who understands people's reasons, someone who recognizes pieces of truth in the opponent. No, Nothing, a Chinese army, monolithic, monotonous. Like in war. Read More

Identity exists (but there are those who deny it)

Of Ernesto Galli of the Loggia
Identity exists (but there are those who deny it)
Source: Corriere della Sera
Every time it decides to commit suicide, the Left knows that it can always count on those who are ready to help it get the shot in the barrel.: they are the intellectuals on his side. Who in turn know that whatever they say or do they can always count on the masochistic silence of their victim. This is the first reflection that comes to mind when reading Tomaso Montanari's long article «The invented identity of Italians» (The Fact, 10 September). And immediately afterwards one cannot help but think that on certain subjects in Italy any discussion is impossible since instead of trying to understand the other's reasons everyone repeats their own like a mantra for the public of aficionados. Montanari's thesis is perfectly expressed by the title of the article: the Italian identity does not exist. In his opinion, the term identity itself is a cursed term, serving only to fuel "the poison of identity rhetoric" and therefore to justify the "us" against "them", the doctrines of «rejection», «the concentration camps in Libya», the «foreigner as enemy» as well as obviously «the cultural paradigms (…) connected to the ghosts of Nazi-fascist nationalism", the "Italians first" and so on sermonizing. All infamies attributable precisely to the infamous concept of identity. Read More

Because extremists are strong in the Swedish paradise? Because it's not a paradise

Of Rodolfo Casadei
Because extremists are strong in the Swedish paradise? Because it's not a paradise
Source: Times
It is the industrialized country that has recovered best from the consequences of the global financial crisis 2008, the second best in the entire European Union for unemployment rate (5,9 percent) and the first for employment rate (82 percent of the workforce); its GDP is growing at the rate of 3 percent per year thanks also to investments in development and research, the highest in all of Europe (3,3 percent of GDP) and is positioned first in the world rankings of sustainable development, entrepreneurial opportunities and economic competitiveness. Yet in the elections scheduled for Sunday 9 September its main governing party risks recording its worst result of the last few 100 years, while the two opposition parties of the far left and especially the far right are credited with the best result in their young history.

How is this possible? It is possible if you are in Sweden, and if the best socio-economic data in the world or in Europe are accompanied by disturbing statistics like those that have recently hit the headlines: in a country of 10 million inhabitants where up to 10 years ago shootings were almost unheard of, some have been well recorded 320 last year, together with 110 murders and 7.226 reported rapes, il 10 percent more than 2016. Il 36 percent of women say they feel in danger at nightfall, and the police reports prove them right: Reports of sexual violence tripled between 2012 and the 2016, thus affecting the 4,1 percent of all women, against 1.4 percent six years ago. If even the left realizes it: “The people turn against the elites”

Of Matteo Carnieletto
If even the left realizes it: “The people turn against the elites”
Source: The eyes of war
It is easy to say that populism is absolute evil. A sort of fascism of the new millennium to be eradicated. Right, in today's populist movements there are hints of extremism, sometimes even racism. But you cannot understand how these movements are succeeding around the world without understanding their causes. The deepest ones and those that have created discontent among the people who then go to the polls and decide who to reward (to punish).
In an interview with Il Manifesto, the well-known activist Noam Chomsky had his say, sparing no one, especially the American left: “In the USA many workers voted for Obama, believing in its message of hope and change, and when they were quickly disillusioned, they looked for something else. This is fertile ground for demagogues like Trump, what an end to being the voice of workers while undermining them time after time through his administration's anti-union policies, who represents the wildest wing of the Republican Party”. Here Chomsky is right about the first part, but wrong on the second, given that under Trump the lowest unemployment rate has been recorded since 2000. Read More

Be careful, the Democratic Party is finished, the left is not

The world of school, of the judiciary, of finance, of culture and the nerve centers of the State are firmly in the hands of a historically profoundly left-wing ruling class
Of Alessandro Sallusti
There is a lot of talk in the newspapers and in the summer debates about the ongoing attempt to rebuild, if not the Democratic Party, at least a credible and electorally competitive left.
The first consideration is that there is an abysmal disproportion between the much space dedicated to the topic in the media and the low turnout of the public at the various Unity parties on whose stages old war remnants alternate, Veltroni type, and aspiring new bosses, from Martina to Zingaretti. This is the sign that the future of the left no longer interests anyone, not even to historical militants, probably nauseated by the continuous and inconclusive war between the various internal gangs. What will become of the Democratic Party is a question that only nostalgic commentators now ask, intellectuals in disarray and frustrated politicians.
A seemingly de-injured country is a dream come true, and if this were the case it would be a sort of "mission accomplished" by those who have fought for decades, in politics and the workplace, to achieve this goal. If it were true, but it isn't. We are making the mistake of making the end of a party coincide with the end of an ideology, Salvini's temporary success with the definitive redemption of everything that is not left-wing. Let's be careful. This government is already left-wing in its DNA because the Five Star Movement is a neo-far left movement, as all the analyzes of electoral flows have shown. But what is much more important is the world of school, of the judiciary, of finance, of culture and the nerve centers of the State are firmly in the hands of a historically profoundly left-wing ruling class.
Who doesn't even think about stepping aside just because, for the first time since the post-war period, it was left orphaned of a solid, organized and fierce reference party. Nope, this system, survived and indeed grew despite being an electoral minority in the years of prevailing Berlusconism, he certainly won't be disarmed by Salvini's shouts or the arrogance of the fake Christian Democrat Di Maio. On the contrary, good communists are at their best precisely when they hear the sounds of battle and smell blood. Their aim today is certainly not to resurrect the now useless Democratic Party, if anything it is to sabotage the League (operation already underway) and infiltrate the Cinquestelle even further. So for a liberal there is little to celebrate and disarm, because the Democratic Party may be broken but the left is alive and well.

House of intolerance

FIFTH COLUMN
Of Marcello Veneziani
The left it is today the main house of intolerance functioning at full capacity. Although defeated at the polls and a minority in the country, he exercises his intolerance on the living and the dead, on the elected and those not aligned with political correctness, uses the past as a weapon to attack the present, places vetoes and prohibitions, threatens those who express different opinions by presenting them as crimes, thanks to ad hoc laws that date back to its governments. He uses the shock troops of the media and the armored forces of the magistrates to put his enemies in check and outlawed. It is a house of intolerance that instigates ideological prostitution.
The reflection came to me yesterday following a small but yet another significant episode. They called me from Rai to ask me to participate in a program on right, extremism and intolerance. Pay attention to the theme, already says it all. They wanted me to make the right salami in a left sandwich, having a theme that already suggests the solution. We talk about the right and the association of ideas becomes a criminal association. Yet the right is politically the majority in the country, the right is historically a sense of the State and the Nation, the right is culturally tradition and civilization, order and security. That sinister metamorphosis

That sinister metamorphosisOf Alessio Trovato
Source: Sputnik
I think the generation aged forty and over remembers it. Once upon a time there was a left that talked about Palestine, he criticized capitalism, he abhorred imperialism, he fought for the rights of workers and the weakest, he wanted a strong state, authoritative, capable of defending all social classes and providing services. Then at a certain point…
At a certain point you open the newspapers and read: “Populism is right, la peggiore destra. The one against which a gentleman like John McCain fought to the end.”
Meaning what, at a certain point that left one disappeared. In its place a 'left' has appeared’ which speaks of globalization as the Holy Grail, he is neoliberal like no one before, bombs Belgrade with NATO without UN resolution, sanctions Russia and Syria without going through Parliament, it fixates on civil rights and completely forgets social ones, Calls Soros a 'philanthropist', we hope for greater controls and censorship on social media, he talks about democracy and freedom of expression but if you vote as you like he calls you a populist, if you talk about national sovereignty he calls you a fascist and a racist if you worry about border defense.
And cry McCain. On the contrary, he explains to you that he fought alongside you, he was the one who defended you from the right because he was the one who, in case of need, could help you organize yet another color revolution against your political enemy. Therefore losing not only your own identity but also that of your true adversary. Read More
