The left it is today the main house of intolerance functioning at full capacity. Although defeated at the polls and a minority in the country, he exercises his intolerance on the living and the dead, on the elected and those not aligned with political correctness, uses the past as a weapon to attack the present, places vetoes and prohibitions, threatens those who express different opinions by presenting them as crimes, thanks to ad hoc laws that date back to its governments. He uses the shock troops of the media and the armored forces of the magistrates to put his enemies in check and outlawed. It is a house of intolerance that instigates ideological prostitution.
The reflection came to me yesterday following a small but yet another significant episode. They called me from Rai to ask me to participate in a program on right, extremism and intolerance. Pay attention to the theme, already says it all. They wanted me to make the right salami in a left sandwich, having a theme that already suggests the solution. We talk about the right and the association of ideas becomes a criminal association. Yet the right is politically the majority in the country, the right is historically a sense of the State and the Nation, the right is culturally tradition and civilization, order and security.
Then it could be a hundred other things, belle, ugly, acceptable, very bad. But for them that is the right, extremism and intolerance. Point. With the roles reversed, I would never have thought of inviting a left-wing thinker to a program dedicated to the theme of the left, extremism and intolerance, because I know well that political categories cannot be reduced to negative and absolute stereotypes; we must distinguish, understand, compare. But when you find yourself invited to speak about the right for a lifetime after an episode of violence, in relation to racism and intolerance, about extremists or from the stadium, then you too, that you thought you were gentle and civil, conversational and respectful, you take off your glasses and start viciously telling them to fuck off.
But enough with these summary trials. Play it and sing it to each other, in your sect. Stop considering anyone who doesn't think like you as a criminal. Because at this point you are the criminals who use the law and illegality intermittently, when you need one or the other; that you use democracy when it suits you, except to deny it when he votes you wrong; that you use history to establish a dividing line between the race of the righteous (your) and the race of criminals (the right). You who reduce your opponents to criminals. For you, Macron is a democrat who has the lowest approval ratings in the history of the French Republic, and Orban, who has further increased his popular consensus in the latest votes, is not democratic.
I already know the objection: It is not true, we respect those on the right well. What are the criteria for defining a "good" right-winger? He is someone who experiences being on the right with a sense of shame or guilt, he says it asking for indulgence as if he had a handicap; one who is a loser in comparison with the left or one from the right who is against the current right. Then he's a good one for you. I'll give you an example. For days I have been reading eulogies for the conservative McCain. It was perfect for them. He had lost to Obama's left, he was an enemy of Trump's winning right. And he died. The ideal right-wing man for them.
It just is, I no longer want to participate in your debates, I don't want to make a fig leaf out of your dirty things. For years you have been pretending that right-wing ideas don't exist, right-wing authors, right-wing books – and I use the word right only to simplify, I know that it is often not the right one - and vice versa you only deal with the right when it comes to racial laws, bust of the duke, intolerance, extremism, away with the blacks and the gypsies, ecc. So I'm not here to act as an alibi and confirmation that this is the theme of the right. When will you learn to understand that the right is not just fear of foreigners and hostility towards illegal immigrants but it is love of country and respect for civilization, sense of the State and the Nation, defense of language and education, sense of right combined with sense of duty, order and freedom, safety and responsibility; and when you understand that there are those who think on the right, who writes and doesn't blindly punch or burp and fart, then we can start talking again. When in philosophy festivals, of thought and politics you will find it useful to discuss, then I will come. For crime or judicial news, call the marshal or a drug dealer in my place.
