A short fantasy story (little) and reality… enjoy reading.

A small Casa Pound patrol also enters Parliament which has evidently absorbed the no-euro discontent by taking away votes from the Northern League, whose more moderate positions have absolutely not paid off.
The centre-right programme, as declared during the election campaign, however, it is to arrive at a renegotiation of the European treaties so that there is room for maneuver to support the country's economy. However, the first declarations from Brussels are still fiery: “In Italy nothing changes, continue with policies to secure public finances". The statement from Brussels a few hours after the vote really leaves no doubt.
July 2018. The situation in the country remains dramatic and the Council of Ministers meets to discuss what to do, the idea of ​​minibots to be implemented in the next two years is officially launched, once again, Brussels' response is immediate: “monetary policy is the exclusive competence of the ECB”. The Italian Government protests and declares that it intends to proceed anyway, but at the moment it is not taking any measures in this sense, the spread rises again, exceeding i 200 points.
September 2018 the Government requests greater flexibility in Brussels for the stability law and is pushing for a Eurogroup meeting in November to put the reform of the euro rules on the table, At the same time, the desire to continue European integration is reconfirmed and Italy also embraces Macron's line on the need to have a European army as soon as possible.
15 October 2018 the Government forwards the budget plan to Brussels, a deficit to GDP ratio is expected 2,6% with a limited corrective maneuver, less than ten billion. The spread already exceeds 300 points. The reply note from Brussels arrives a few hours later: “The Italian budget document is unsustainable, divest public assets and reduce the cost of pensions with immediate cuts 30% on those currently being disbursed and this to avoid the bankruptcy of the country".
20 October 2018 Mario Draghi, whose mandate is expiring and which has already almost eliminated QE, announces that the ECB will not purchase Italian government bonds until there are guarantees regarding the government's precise willingness to respect Brussels' requests. Claudio Borghi, deputy minister of economy, pushes for the immediate introduction of minibots into circulation and their introduction is launched with an extraordinary Council of Ministers. National newspapers emphasize the risks of bankruptcy of the country and the difficulties of the banks.
November 2018, the spread reaches historic highs, ECB interrupts emergency liquidity to Italian banks which immediately go into difficulty due to the increase in withdrawals by account holders who are quickly limited, some banks are close to bankruptcy. December 2018 the MEF announces the failure of the latest auctions of Italian government bonds and that there is no cash available to guarantee the payment of salaries and pensions as early as next January. The Government urgently turns to the state bailout fund, requesting a liquidity loan from over 100 billion, there are those who even talk about 200. The League expresses its dissent to the operation, Salvini returns to talk about leaving the euro.
January 2019 the Prime Minister goes up to the hill to announce the Northern League's exit from the government majority in radical opposition to the memorandum. Consultations began in record time and a government of broad agreements was formed between PD and Forza Italia and also supported by some M5S parliamentarians who left the party. The technical government is born which will immediately ask for aid from the state rescue fund, consequently the ECB will guarantee the purchase of Italian government bonds and the provision of emergency liquidity to commercial banks.
February 2019 Italy accepts a memorandum of tears and blood, the Council of Ministers launches a capital from 300 billion, a true forced expropriation of national savings, public pensions and salaries are immediately cut 20%, fired further 30 thousand public employees. The complete privatization of every public service is ordered.
29 March 2019 Great Britain officially leaves the European Union without any agreement with it, refusing any payment to Brussels.
April 2019 the spread has fallen but the pain for the Italian people is starting, GDP collapses in the next quarter 2%, at the same time the EU announces a great event with great fanfare, the heads of state will meet in June to create a single document for the birth of the United States of Europe, it goes far beyond the mere constitution of the European army.
Maggio 2019 violent clashes in major Italian cities between anti-austerity protesters and law enforcement, there are rumors about the use of Eurogendfor. The protests have different origins, on one side the antagonistic left and on the other the social right, the two groups hate each other, but the requests are essentially identical, end of austerity and redemption of monetary sovereignty. The League also joins the protests of the social right.
June 2019 the heads of state sign a unitary document in which the European Commission is given a mandate, through the help of experts, to draft the European Constitution, since January 2021 the United States of Europe will officially be born.
October 2019 more tears and blood in the law of stability, GDP falls further 10 percentage points in the year.
July 2020 clashes in various European countries in protest at the imminent creation of the USE, deaths in various capitals. The Government urgently launches a new crime that punishes anyone who advocates against joining the USE with sentences of no less than five years, all anti-European demonstrations are banned. Violent clashes also occurred in Italy but the protests were suffocated with brutality, deaths in Milan and Rome. The heads of the armed forces have been replaced in various European states where opposition to the USE project is strongest.
End of July 2020 the Constitutional Court rejects all the objections of illegitimacy raised regarding the approval of the memorandum by the Italian Parliament, cash needs justify any compression of rights, resolve the crisis to return to guaranteeing them. The Constitutional Court expressly hopes in its ruling for greater European integration with the creation of a central bank as lender of last resort.
August 2020. Arrests throughout Italy against the main anti-euro exponents under the new law, the transition process between democracy and dictatorship is substantially complete, all that is missing is Italy's formal membership of the USE.
September 2021 the definitive version of the European Constitution is released. Parliament approves it at the end of the month: at hours 00:00 of the 31 December 2021 the Republican Constitution will be repealed. The majority is large, even the Five Star Movement says yes to the USE given that the new European Constitution provides for a minimum citizenship income and a Central Bank as lender of last resort, albeit independent.
October 2021 the Constitutional Court rejects the appeals against the repeal of the Charter of 48, the definitiveness of the Republican form, says the Court, it cannot go so far as to prevent the birth of a single system, European or global, since the transfer of sovereignty for the purpose of building a new order that brings peace and justice is a value superior to any other. The Court also specifies that there are no alternatives to USEs, not joining would mean literally sending millions of Italians to starvation.
00:00 of the 31 December 2021 The United States of Europe is born. The adoption of the minimum citizenship income puts an end to protests on the continent, the financial elites won, democracy was abrogated to make way for oligarchy.
A fictional story? Maybe yes, especially in such a tight timeframe for the transition to the USE where I wanted to get involved. But clearly the advent of a technical government that will espouse a memorandum of tears and blood in the next legislature is a certain fact. The idea of ​​minibots cannot hinder the Troika and in any case Draghi's successor will still stop the purchase of Italian government bonds, so at most the question is when we will adhere to the memorandum and not if.
Only a proportional law and the existence of at least one large anti-euro party with the courage to run alone could have prevented our defeat... Let's just hope that there is time to organize a resistance for the 2023, without everything being accomplished in the next legislature.
