Traditionalists without Tradition
Opportune Importune editorial (information letter from the Casa San Pio) n. 35
In this period I am reading the life of Saint Joan Antide Thouret (1765-1826), written by Msgr. Francois A little. The religious saint, founder of the Sisters of Charity (congregation that was appreciated by anti-liberal rulers such as Carlo Felice of Savoy and Francis IV of Modena) and canonized by Pius XI, lived through the tragedy of the French Revolution. Thanks to the happy pen of Msgr. A little, the reader can grasp all aspects of the drama that shocked the life of the Church and society in that period. What is most striking is the firmness with which almost all the faithful deserted the masses of the constitutional clergy (who had sworn allegiance to the schismatic "Civil Constitution of the Clergy") and turned, at the risk of his life, to clandestine masses celebrated in the woods, in the cellars or stables by the "refractory" priests (who refused the oath imposed by the revolutionaries). Don Bosco and the Waldensian sect

Giuseppe Federici Study Center – For a new onset
Press release no. 9/19 of the 31 January 2019, St. John Bosco
Don Bosco and the Waldensian sect
“Biographical Memoirs of Don Giovanni Bosco”, Vol IV, ed. 1904 – Capo XXX. Apostasy – Sermon on the Virginity of the Most Holy Mary. – Zeal and charity of D. Forest for those deceived by heretics – Disputes with the partisans of’ Valdesi and co’ their ministers – A wicked sermon; the eagle and the fox – Constructions of’ Waldensians around their temple.
The WALDESIANS continued to spread their errors among the people through words and the press, giving away 80 lire to those who allowed themselves to be ascribed to their sect. Some of the young people from the festive Oratories, which had caused serious displeasure to D. Bosco, and in certain matters they had sided against him, they had allowed themselves to be led into apostasy, accepting that vile coin. The consequence was therefore that their hatred sought to be vented against their former companions, from whom their conscience warned them that from now on they would be considered renegades. One evening Tomatis came home around 9 ore. Passing near the Consolata church, descended towards the Oratory, when he notices that two individuals are chasing him. Fearful, he quickens his pace, and they too. He runs and can enter the courtyard and close the door in time, because if he had delayed an instant they would have caught up with him. He immediately went to tell the story [347] a D. Bosco, who arranged for some precautions to protect the safety of the community.

Voltaire and the short circuit of the obscurantist enlightenment

Giuseppe Federici Study Center – For a new onset

Press release no. 8/19 of the 29 January 2019, Saint Francis de Sales
Voltaire and the short circuit of the obscurantist enlightenment
The Voltaire you don't expect: racist and anti-Semitic, by Giorgio Enrico Cavallo
Given that it is not wise to look at history with the paradigms of the present, it is however interesting to observe that Voltaire, the great apostle of modern times, He wasn't exactly the holy man you might imagine. Moreover. In our era, the "mortal sin" condemned by all is racism. Well, the father of modern thought was not only "racist", but he was also a shareholder in slave ships through the India Company (1). In the Treatise on Metaphysics, Voltaire had written that blacks are inferior because they are halfway between Europeans and monkeys (2). In the Essay on the customs and spirit of nations we read: «A blind person is only allowed to doubt white people, negri, albini, Hottentot, Lapps, Chinese, Americans, they are completely different races" (3). And again, comparing Africans to beasts: «The same providence that produced the elephant, rhinoceros and blacks, he created another moose world, condor […]» (4). And again: «The white people, i negri, the reds, the Lapps, Samoids and albinos certainly don't come from the same soil." (5). He also had it with the Jews. In his Philosophical Dictionary (1764) he accused them completely gratuitously of anthropophagy. Read it under “Anthropophagi”: «And indeed, because the Jews would never have been anthropophagous? It would have been the only thing the people of God lacked to be the most abominable people in the world" (6). Read More

Press release no. 7/19 of the 24 January 2019, Saint Timothy
The other lagers: the Titian fields
A page deliberately forgotten by official historiography is that relating to the ferocious communist regimes that settled in various European Catholic nations. Let's remember some of these censored pages to remember the victims of communism, including numerous members of the Catholic clergy.
Tito's extermination camps
A breath was enough, a gust of wind, who came from Fiume, has now permanently become Rijeka: many greetings, one was undone, thrown in the air like a rag, or a corn leaf. We lived day by day. Anything could happen." (Carlo Sgorlon, The large Foiba)

The walls of the only democracy

Giuseppe Federici Study Center – For a new onset

Press release no. 6/19 of the 21 January 2019, Saint Agnes
The walls of the only democracy
The Israeli government continues its policy of expanding illegal colonies in Palestine, protected legally and militarily. The road with built-in wall was missing!
Let's remind the pro-Israel right-thinking people, who identify the Palestinian people solely with Muslims, that Zionist policy caused the departure of the majority of Christians from the Holy Land and those who remained are discriminated against in various ways as the Jewish state does not recognize equality between all citizens. On the lands recently confiscated from Catholics:
