Press release no. 27/19 of the 27 March 2019, San Giovanni Damasceno
In De Magistris's Naples, via Ipatia was inaugurated
We point out the low-grade anticlerical propaganda that accompanied the inauguration in Naples of a street dedicated to Hypatia.
On the myth of Hypatia and her supporters, including Franco Cardini, please refer to a previous article from our study center: http://www.centrostudifederici.org/miti-laicisti-ipazia/
Via Ipazia d'Alessandria inaugurated in Naples, dedicated to the Greek woman massacred by Christians (the title is already a whole program)
The Municipality of Naples wanted to name a street in the Spanish Quarter Via Ipazia d'Alessandria, in honor of the Greek philosopher and scientist.
Hypatia of Alexandria was born in Alexandria, Egypt between 350 and the 370 d.C. and still today it is considered a symbol of freedom of thought.
It was a math, astronomer and philosopher, he even went so far as to formulate hypotheses about the movement of the earth. Despite the absence of his writings, many philosophers of the time considered her one of the most brilliant minds of the time.
Representative of neo-Platonic philosophy, Hypatia never converted to Christianity.
In a period when fanaticism dominated, repudiation of culture and science in the name of the growing Christian religion, Hypatia was murdered in March of 415, stoned in a church by a crowd of fanatics.
It was again named and remembered in the period of the Enlightenment as a symbol of freedom of thought and since then, to this day it remains so, as well as being a symbol of women's independence and a martyr of paganism.
Students from the Pansini State Classical High School and the Calamandrei State High School were present at the naming ceremony..
Mayor Luigi de Magistris also took part, the councilor for toponymy Alessandra Clemente, the proposing consultant in memory of the Municipality 3 Francesco Ruotolo, the president of the municipality 2 Francesco Chirico, councilor Elena Coccia, the equal opportunities delegate Simona Marino, the director of the Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory Marcella Marconi, the contact person of the Association. Female toponymy Giuliana Cacciapuoti, the author of the book “Hypatia the sublime” Angela Iacobucci, the professor of the Orientale University Rosanna Pirelli, the Councilors of the Municipality 2.
So, says mayor Luigi de Magistris: «In the heart of the Quartieri Spagnoli we have named a street after the Greek philosopher and scientist Hypatia of Alexandria as a 'symbol of female wisdom and freedom of thought'. With the Toponymy commission we are giving the right and proper emphasis to the history of women not only of Naples but of places beyond the borders of our city. We are writing the history of Naples also through toponymy and in particular female toponymy".

Syria: Christians in the trenches against terrorists

Press release no. 26/19 of the 25 March 2019, Ss. Annunziata

Syria: Christians in the trenches against terrorists
Under siege from 7 years, 20.000 Christians are bombed by terrorists. No media talks about them. They are alone fighting to survive. Powerless, they saw the convoys of jihadists transferred to Idlib pass by. 160 dead. Innocent civilians, fathers and teenagers, grieving families.
The daily battle of Mhardeh
Night falls on Syria . North of the city of Hama, a freezing rain sweeps the small town of Mhardeh. In the car, I am accompanied by Salem, a Damascene Christian who fought for more than five years to defend this city, which has become a symbol of Syrian resistance to international terrorism. The military controls intensify until we arrive at Mr. Simon's office, head of the National Defense Force in Mhardeh .
We are expected, the soldiers open the large door. Getting out of the car, the heavy atmosphere of war vanishes and we hear the typical Syrian welcome phrases, the ones that make you immediately feel at home. Accompanied by three armed soldiers, we begin to gather in front of the martyrs' tree: one hundred portraits in memory of those who fell under the bombs that wounded the city for more than seven years. I noticed that of a teenager, barely out of childhood, with dark blue eyes.
We gather for a few moments. Mr. Simon welcomes us into his office with open arms. Instinctively, this man inspires immense respect, without being inaccessible, on the contrary. In the middle of the neck, the scar from a bullet that failed to kill him is impressive. His smile instantly erases these stigmata of war. Mr. Simon survived three assassination attempts. He personally organizes the defense of his land, of his city, of his house, of the families of Mhardeh. Read More

Pipers and Gretini

Press release no. 25/19 of the 22 March 2019, Saint Welcome
Pipers and Gretini
Once the gretini march is over, environmental coherence in behavior is expected, by Augusto Grandi
It's too easy to resolve the neo-environmentalists' march with the slogan "come forward, gratin". They are young, they really believe it? And then it's simply a matter of testing their coherence.
Because the environment is a real problem and deserves to be addressed seriously. Not with high-impact journalistic headlines, in some cases (The Press), they transformed the parades into a sort of procession to obtain the miracle of rain.
Bene, now the protesters have the opportunity to demonstrate good faith and commitment, starting to change your daily habits before pretending to teach the whole world. Enough with cars and motorbikes, to get started. They pollute even when people from Greta are driving. And then reduce the use of smartphones to a minimum since recharging them requires energy. Phone calls and messages are fine, but games and music can and should be eliminated. They want music? Play it live or listen to someone who plays it.
But the real demonstration of coherence is expected on other topics, more sensitive and more indicative of the actual desire to defend the Earth. Italy, and above all the Po Valley, it is overpopulated. Therefore we can expect that the Gretini will begin to fight against the invasion, including the controlled one. There are too many of us and there is no longer room for others. Because an excess population determines an excessive concentration of consumption. Including the indispensable ones of water and food, with an excess of waste starting from organic waste.

Israeli Christianophobia

Press release no. 24/19 of the 20 March 2019, Saint Claudia
Israeli Christianophobia

Two Israeli Jews acquitted after attack on Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem
We learned of the decision taken yesterday by the Israeli court to acquit the Jewish suspects who attacked the Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem about three years ago, important sacred place as well as Christian convent.
This decision means that those who attack the Dormition Abbey will not be brought to justice. This reality is unacceptable for us!
Therefore, We call on the Israeli authorities to identify the perpetrators of this attack and punish them in order to deter others from committing similar crimes in the future.! Read More

Saint Gregory the Great

Giuseppe Federici Study Center – For a new onset2007_0101roma20060150
Saint Gregory the Great
Il 12 March the Roman liturgy celebrates Saint Gregory the Great, Papa, Confessor and Doctor. We remember itor with some passages of the card. Schuster gave his Book of the Sacraments.
This party, also celebrated by the Greeks, it is already found in the Gregorian Sacramentary of the time of Hadrian I, and it is one of the few that has penetrated the Roman Calendar since ancient times during the Lenten period. The celebrity of Saint Gregory (+ 604), and above all the symbolic meaning that his historical personality took on, when in the Middle Ages he embodied the concept of the Roman papacy in the most sublime expression of his primacy over the entire Church, justified this exception. It can indeed be said, that the entire middle age lived by the spirit of Saint Gregory; the Roman liturgy, the sacred song, canon law, monastic asceticism, the apostolate among the infidels, pastoral life, all, in a word, ecclesiastical activity, it reported to the Holy Doctor, whose writings seemed to have become like the universal code of Catholicism. The very large number of ancient churches dedicated to the Holy Pontiff in Rome attests to the popularity of his cult, which, as well as its ancient monastery of Sant'Andrea al Clivo di Scauro, had as its center his venerable tomb in the Vatican basilica. (…)
We must serve the Lord in the conditions in which He has placed us, and not in those in which we would like to place ourselves. A beautiful example of this practical sense on the path to holiness, what Gregorio offers. His thoughtful nature pushed him to the quiet study of philosophy, in the peace of the cloister. God instead wants him to be diplomatic, papa, administrator of an immense real estate asset, even strategist in directing the defense works of the Italian cities besieged by the Langobards; true consul of God, by activity and power as vast as the whole world. Gregorio, very often kept in bed by podagra and stomach pains, without filling the air with his regrets, it adapts wonderfully to all these offices, and with the intention of serving the Lord alone, he supports them with such admirable mastery and perfection, which fills the entire middle age with its spirit, and he leaves deep traces of his genius in the subsequent life of the Roman Pontificate. The champions of the faith: don Paolo De Töth

Press release no. 20/19 of the 7 March 2019, San Tommaso d’Aquino
The champions of the faith: don Paolo De Töth
On the day of Saint Thomas Aquinas 1881 Don Paolo De Töth was born in Udine (he died in Maiano, fraction of Fiesole, il 25/12/1965), one of the main exponents of integral Catholicism, founder and director of the anti-modernist magazine “Fede e Ragione”. On the centenary of the founding of the magazine, The “Don Paolo De Töth” Study Center was born, which we are pleased to present through the association's website.
Who we are
Analogously to similar initiatives (he C.S.. Giuseppe Federici in Rimini, he C. S. Davide Albertario in MiIano and C. S. Giacomo Margotti in Turin), and in collaboration with the “Mater Boni Consilii” Institute, the “Don Paolo De Töth” Study Center was born from inspiration, already from the name, to this authentically and integrally Catholic priest: certainly one of the main exponents of the so-called "Integral Catholics" who fought Modernism all his life, unmasking it and attacking it in all its implications in the various areas of religious and civil life, aware that this is heresy (or better, 'heap of all heresies' according to the famous definition that Saint Pius. Feeding), it could not be underestimated or even considered surpassed, as unfortunately the vast majority of Catholics of the time believed it, thus allowing it to survive and spread everywhere.

Lent

Giuseppe Federici Study Center – For a new onset

Lent
“The observance of Lent is the bond of our militia; with it we distinguish ourselves from the enemies of the Cross of Jesus Christ; with it we ward off the scourges of divine wrath; with that, protected by heavenly help during the day, we fortify ourselves against the princes of darkness. If we abandon ourselves to such relaxation, it is all to the detriment of the glory of God, to dishonor of the Catholic religion, at risk for Christian souls; nor should there be any doubt that such negligence cannot become a source of misfortune for peoples, of ruins in public affairs and misfortunes in private affairs" (Constitution Non ambigimus of Benedict XIV, 30 maggio 1741).
