Draghi underlined how confidence in the return of inflation towards the long-term objective has strengthened significantly over the last few months., but uncertainty permeates theeconomic outlook.

“With long-term inflation expectations well anchored, the underlying strength ofEuropean economy and the continued large degree of monetary accommodation allow us to be confident that inflation will converge towards our objective and that this convergence can be maintained even after a gradual winding down of our program of net asset purchases.".

President Donald Trump defended his tough enforcement of immigration laws on Monday, saying that he would not allow unchecked flows of illegal immigration into the country.
“The United States will not be a migrant camp and it will not be a refugee holding facility,” Trump said. “You look at what’s happening in Europe … we cannot allow that to happen to the United States. Not on my watch.”
The president urged Americans to read about the problems and crime in Europe after countries accepted mass groups of migrant populations.
“We need borders, we need security, we need safety,” Trump said.
He chastised Democrats for grandstanding on the issue of immigration instead of working with Republicans to fix the problems. Read More

Preparations for the party
In mid-March Archbishop Riccardi set the consecration of the church for the first fortnight of June. Everything was now ready: the two bell towers of the facade surmounted by two archangels, the large golden statue on the dome already blessed by the archbishop, the five marble altars with their respective paintings, including the wonderful one of Mary Help of Christians with the child in her arms, surrounded by angels, apostles, evangelists, in a riot of light and colours.
An exceptional plan for preparation was then triggered. First of all it was a question of finding the consecrating bishop; then to contact various bishops for the solemn celebrations in the morning and evening of each day of the octave; also to issue personal invitations to dozens of illustrious benefactors, priests and lay people from all over Italy, many of which should be worthily hosted at home; finally to prepare hundreds of young people both to solemnize the pontifical and liturgical ceremonies with songs, and to participate in academies, games, parades, moments of joy and happiness.
