The Pope Emeritus intervenes publicly on Herder Korrespondenz to contest an article by the German theologian Michael Böhnke which criticized his previous contribution on Communio

Ratzinger defends Bergoglio: "Basta stolti pregiudizi contro di lui" and we are not surprised at all!

The letter sent by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI to Msgr. Dario Edoardo Viganò
DEDICATED TO “RATZINGERIAN WIDOWS”:
Here is yet another proof of Ratzingerian conciliar disaster, which admits continuity with Bergoglio and the difference in styles, as we have always supported, also in reference to others “occupants” up to Roncalli (N.d.r.)
Letter from Pope Benedict XVI on the eve of Bergoglio's fifth anniversary: “There is internal continuity between the two pontificates”
Of Sergio Rame
“There is an internal continuity between the two pontificates”. Il Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI defends the magisterium of Pope Francis of which, Tomorrow, the fifth year after the election will occur.
After months deeply marked by internal controversies and by doubts raised by several cardinals, Ratzinger himself is acting as a screen for Bergoglio and today he wrote a letter to the prefect of the Secretariat for communication, Monsignor Dario Viganò. “Pope Francis – we read in the letter – he is a man of profound philosophical and theological training and therefore helps to see the internal continuity between the two pontificates, despite all the differences in style and temperament”.
It is not the first time that Benedict XVI has shown harmony with Pope Francis. Today the opportunity comes from the presentation of the series The theology of Pope Francis (published by Lev), but it arrives on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the appointment of Pope Francis. In the letter Ratzinger openly applauds the editorial initiative which, according to him, “wants to oppose and react to the foolish prejudice according to which Pope Francis is just a practical man without any particular theological or philosophical training, while I would have been solely a theorist of theology who would have understood little about the concrete life of a Christian today”. In the personal letter sent to the prefect of the Secretariat for communication, the pope emeritus thanks having received the gift of the eleven books written by as many theology of international fame that make up the series edited by Don Roberto Repole, president of the Italian Theological Association. “Small volumes – adds Benedict XVI – they rightly show that Pope Francis is a man of profound philosophical and theological education and therefore help to see the internal continuity between the two pontificates, even with all the differences of style and temperament”. Where Jesus says white, Ratzinger says black. Five reasons why he couldn't be a real Pope

Reporting of www.unavox.it
Of Enrico Maria Radaelli

Our presentation
A while ago, as soon as published, we highlighted the latest book written by Prof. Enrico Maria Radaelli: At the heart of Ratzinger. At the heart of the world, accompanying the report with an introductory note which we invite the reader to review.
The book raises a question of no small importance: the actual doctrinal orthodoxy of Prof. Joseph Ratzinger, theological expert at the Second Vatican Council, professor of dogmatic theology at the University of Tübingen and the University of Regensburg; archbishop of Munich and Freising; Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith; president of the preparatory commission of the new Catechism of the Catholic Church; Papa.
A prelate of no small importance, Therefore, which strongly marked the last ones 50 years of the history of the Church: finally the unprecedented or unheard of gesture of renouncing the Papacy despite wanting to remain Pope, Pope emeritus.
With the arrival of Pope Bergoglio and his equally unprecedented and casual management of the Papacy, Pope Ratzinger's admirers continue to make themselves heard who, in the face of the suspected heresies of the reigning Pope, they regret the supposedly more orthodox defeatist Pope. Well, the study conducted by Prof. Radaelli raises the problem regarding this supposed orthodoxy of Joseph Ratzinger and the result is a far from flattering picture of the Catholic faith nourished and taught throughout his life by the acclaimed German theologian.
It is not the first time that well-founded doubts have been raised about the real Catholic orthodoxy of Joseph Ratzinger and on this site they can be found, looking for them, several articles on the subject, but this study by Prof. Radaelli presents a complex and documented picture that is worth knowing and studying further, if only to better understand the doctrinal drift that afflicts the Catholic Church since 50 years and which looms in the future with worsening elements that dismay the faithful and leave them dumbfounded: Radaelli's pages will be able to help them shed light on the issue.
To this end, The note we are publishing now could be a valid introduction, written by Prof. himself. Radaelli and summarizing the central points of the discrepancy between the thousand-year-old teaching of the Catholic Church and the modern thought of the still living Cardinal Ratzinger.
Radaelli is right, the fraternal reminder he proposes may be useful, not only to the faithful, but equally interested "Pope Emeritus", that he would still have time to retract, at least in his heart, the errors taught and preached, to be able to present himself amended in the presence of the Archangel who, when the time comes, he will weigh his soul and evaluate its "heaviness".
