France: as many as four churches in Morbihan and two in Loire-Atlantique have been the subject of thefts and devastation in recent days. Two young people were noticed by some witnesses, as they fled from the church of Saint-Gildas: immediately afterwards, thick smoke was noticed coming from inside the sacred building. The alarm was raised, the Fire Brigade immediately arrived on the scene, averting the worst. The alleged perpetrators have already been arrested by the gendarmerie and taken to cells.
Still: San Martino in Arzal also ended up in the crosshairs, where the tabernacle was desecrated; same thing in the parish of Santa Cecilia in Boulogne-Billancourt, in Hauts-de-Seine, and then again to Marzan: in both cases the consecrated Hosts were also stolen.
