Secondo Hawking, within a thousand years life on Earth will be made impossible: «For then, but, our ingenious race will have found a way to overcome Earth's grim limits and survive the disaster". The only ones to survive could be the human beings who will have "reprogrammed" their genome, having therefore become "supermen" prepared to overcome the catastrophe.
