Preview of Miraculous Tales – Available at last Up Hearts

Reporting of Di Pietro Carlo
We present Miraculous tales (ISBN: 9788890074714 – 170 pages). Father Giacinto da Belmonte carefully collected, commented on and disseminated hundreds of miraculous tales, publishing them in two volumes in the year 1887. This first book of ours dedicated to miracles brings them back to print, at least for the moment, about fifty.
The modern era is paradoxically characterized by shameless disbelief and, at the same time, by a truly grotesque pseudo-mysticism, sometimes blasphemous and always offensive to the pious man. It was necessary and most appropriate, Therefore, immediately clarify the matter, adequately using the Magisterium of the Church – which we promptly mention – and numerous sentences of wise authors not contaminated by the sewer of Modernism. Therefore i
Stories by Father Belmonte are preceded by a long doctrinal introduction divided into ten chapters.
Miracle – asserts Cornelius Alapides – it means a wonderful and extraordinary work that cannot be the effect of a natural cause. The miracle is a derogation from the laws of nature: it greatly overcomes the forces of man; Only God can do it and men can only do it through God. The miracle is a sure proof of the truth. It can only come from God as the sole master of nature. Dio, being truth in essence, never can under any circumstances, without destroying himself, confirm a falsehood with a real miracle. We must distinguish the true miracle from the false miracle, called prodigy and carried out by tricksters or enchanters in league with the devil. The true miracle is the most authentic and indisputable testimony that one can have of the truth of a doctrine, because it is the own and supernatural work of God who uses it to confirm what he says and does. He can't, so, allow miracles in favor of error; otherwise he would mock men and would himself be the author of the deception: which is repugnant!Saint Augustine demonstrates that the wicked do things that seem like miracles, studying for one's own glory; the Saints work true miracles, aiming at the glory of God.
Father Giacinto, born Francesco Saverio Osso, was born on 23 October 1839 in Belmonte Calabro and grew up in a poor house, but happy. Became a Capuchin, was ordained Priest on 12 January 1865 to Acri. A man with a strong character, he lived the years of the proclaimed "freedom" with great dignity and prudence, that is, the suppression of the convents, of the looting of ecclesiastical property and the persecution of the Church by Freemasonry Risorgimento. In the 1887, considered one of the most prepared Religious, he was appointed by Pope Leo XIII Consultant dell’Index of prohibited books, precious censorship body later eliminated by the Modernists. In the 1893 blessed and placed the foundation stone of the church dedicated to the Holy Immaculate Virgin in Acre. Il 4 October 1899 Father Giacinto was the victim of a robbery, following which he suffered apoplexy. He passed away 23 October of 1899, the same day of birth. Rest in peace!
