Long thoughts are needed. Left and right. Long thoughts on which to underpin the processes of change, political and social. Long thoughts that are the exact opposite of old ideological visions, of the rigid (and unrealistic) nineteenth-century style “posters”.. Above all, there is a need for renewed representative tools, able to give voice to the concrete needs of society, projecting them onto broader scenarios. In this context, the role of trade unions needs to be rethought. It's a topic these days. And it is a crucial theme that does not allow ambiguity.
When the Minister for Economic Development and Labour, Luigi Di Maio, raises the question of union representation, with the idea of "stimulating an updating process", what does he mean ? He wants to continue pursuing the paths of delegitimization of the trade union world, carry on, in recent years by the government left, or hypothesize other working hypotheses ? Does it intend to support the old conflictual logics or look at more organic participatory solutions ?
While waiting to understand the orientations of the Minister and more generally of the current executive, it does not seem trivial to relaunch the topic of co-management, in its broadest and most complete meaning. Read More
