In Lecce the 24 November 2017 the Round Table was held on the theme "From immigration to reception passing through Right of the Sun”, promoted by the Regional Inspectorate of Puglia and Lucania of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasonry (RSAA) of “Palazzo Giustiniani” (Roma).
This is the Scottish Rite composed of Master Masons of the Grand Orient of Italy Palazzo Giustiniani (GOI). The Round Table had the patronage of the Province and the Municipality of Lecce and of Chapter House (Meaning what, in Masonic jargon, the Lodge of the 18th degree) “Giosué Carducci” of Lecce. Who is Leo Taroni ? Entrepreneur, started freemason in 1970 in the Dante Alighieri lodge of the GOI of Ravenna. Dal 2005 he is 33rd degree of the RSAA, dal 2015 he is Sovereign Grand Commander of the RSAA of Palazzo Giustiniani and President of the Confederation of the Supreme European Councils of the RSAA. The Head of the RSAA of Palazzo Giustiniani outlines a brief history of immigration, from ancient times to the present day. Immigration is considered by him «a physiological phenomenon often linked to the evolution of the nature that surrounds us». Therefore something necessary, linked to evolution… The reasons for immigration are various: increased dietary needs, climate changes, guerre.
Taroni supports the need to welcome immigrants, because you have «an open account with Africa and the Middle East», and because rejecting them would mean consigning them to death. Taroni even quotes Pope Francis according to whom «Repelling immigrants is an act of war» and recommends caution in managing the migration phenomenon. Yet one might doubt his way of understanding prudence when he fully shares the «bill presented by the Radicals» which provides among other things «the abolition of the crime of clandestine immigration».
In support of immigration Taroni wants «the support and effective intervention of the United Nations and the whole of Europe». Furthermore, like the PD and the CEI, he wants itright alone».
The following words of Sovereign Taroni 33° show the initiatory substratum, or ideological, of his immigrationism: «We need ideas, strong and targeted economic investments and people, but above all to understand that acceptance is necessary not only for people who flee, but which can also be useful to us, as taught by the symbolism of the IX Degree ritual of the R.S.A.A. in which "the foreigner represents the entire body of knowledge and progress already achieved before us, and which must be used to proceed further: an opportunity to profit from the experience offered even by what is not part of our Tradition”».
Clear? Taroni makes us understand that we must welcome the Stranger because the Stranger represents the one who is the custodian of Gnosis or Knowledge: This is what the 9th grade of the RSAA teaches! Let's not forget that the Gnostic, the Initiate, he considers himself a Stranger compared to the world created by the biblical God Creator and Legislator.
The 33rd of Freemasonry makes it clear that welcoming immigrants would make it possible to cope with the demographic decline in Europe, While, on the contrary, the birth rate is growing in African countries.
His words raise some questions in the reader: why not instead encourage procreation and birth rates in European families, Italian, Christian? Or we want Europe and Italy to become irreversibly multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and above all multi-religious, to weaken Catholicism?
Taroni recommends to Freemasons (see ritual of the 9th degree) to open up to the Stranger: with these words «This is precisely why Noi, free men par excellence, that we seek the Light and open the doors, we must open ourselves to the "foreigner" who, as I already said, it can constitute an opportunity and a moment of growth "for us".. […] We must face reality by giving up our prejudices, organizing ourselves promptly to face a future that we now know well».
Also the Grand Master of the GOI Stefano Bisi, on the subject of immigration, he is on the same wavelength as Sovereign Leo Taroni 33°. We are not surprised to discover that Bisi is also of the 33rd degree of the Scottish Rite. We now enter a more internal circle of the RSAA's thinking. Taroni lists some groups and characters who have sought the connection with the primordial esoteric "Tradition".: Greek Mysteries, Orphism, Dionysism, cults of Cybele and Mithras, alchemy, Kabbalah, Marsilio Ficino, Pico della Mirandola, Paracelsus, Rose Cross, martinists.
He is convinced «that the esoteric exteriority of the initiatory path must inevitably be transmuted - almost alchemically - into a true, personal inner dimension that – beyond the symbols, the external archetypes, the progressive states of consciousness – lead to the intuitive moment of perception and identification in the One.
This is what the Scottish Route offers, if well understood and individually internalized, exquisitely esoteric method that addresses the progressive states of consciousness of the Initiate and determines the simultaneous opening of the heart and mind free from any material and temporal constraints. […] The Tradition, methodologically esoteric and specific to the Initiatory Orders, allows if effectively pursued as a path of wisdom, to reach the exact center of the Self understood - in my opinion - as knowledge and acquisition of the Divine that is in each human being».
Taroni underlines that Masonic initiation is «an elitist moment» and that in Freemasonry «we cannot give space to do-goodism». About the Freemasons, or initiates, dice: «These Initiates, as such qualified, they can essentially retrace back to the origins the moment of Knowledge that allows the harmonious perception of Man with the Whole and allow that the axiom "So high, so low” of the Emerald Tablet attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, is simply “So high”».
So, Taroni makes it clear that the RSAA proposes to its Initiates the achievement of superhuman states of consciousness up to identification with the One. However, we fear that it is not a "high" path, but "below", towards Lucifer, forever expelled from Heaven.
