For years it was said that Spain was immune to the irruption of the far right, rampant throughout Europe. A reality that finds its first denials: in Andalusia, the most populous autonomous community in the country, bastion of the left, the nationalist party Vox entered the regional parliament for the first time with a result of around 11%., the equivalent of 12 seats. An expected boom, although not in these proportions, for a movement that has never had representatives in local assemblies, nor national.

It is the industrialized country that has recovered best from the consequences of the global financial crisis 2008, the second best in the entire European Union for unemployment rate (5,9 percent) and the first for employment rate (82 percent of the workforce); its GDP is growing at the rate of 3 percent per year thanks also to investments in development and research, the highest in all of Europe (3,3 percent of GDP) and is positioned first in the world rankings of sustainable development, entrepreneurial opportunities and economic competitiveness. Yet in the elections scheduled for Sunday 9 September its main governing party risks recording its worst result of the last few 100 years, while the two opposition parties of the far left and especially the far right are credited with the best result in their young history.

How is this possible? It is possible if you are in Sweden, and if the best socio-economic data in the world or in Europe are accompanied by disturbing statistics like those that have recently hit the headlines: in a country of 10 million inhabitants where up to 10 years ago shootings were almost unheard of, some have been well recorded 320 last year, together with 110 murders and 7.226 reported rapes, il 10 percent more than 2016. Il 36 percent of women say they feel in danger at nightfall, and the police reports prove them right: Reports of sexual violence tripled between 2012 and the 2016, thus affecting the 4,1 percent of all women, against 1.4 percent six years ago. We report an interview that Bruno Segre released to the newspaper “La Stampa” for his hundredth birthday. The errors of secularism and anticlericalism emerge in the responses in a transversal way (like the Masonic sects that have always professed and spread these errors) they are present in the programs of several Italian parties, from far left to far right.
They are the errors that fought and overthrew the social kingdom of Christ, the only reference that a Catholic should have in the political and social sphere. In the interview Segre defends the divorce, euthanasia and civil unions, accuses the Catholic Church of "inadmissible privileges" and hopes for an increasingly stronger public school system (against denominational schools). The lawyer ends the meeting with a petty blasphemous expression. Our wish for him is to get on the right side at least in the last days of his life, to avoid the eternal mortal embrace with that Satan who, in his long life, he contributed to reigning in the Italian state.

He interviewed Magnani and Totò, Josephine Baker naked and the "teacher with the red pen" dressed: Bruno Segre dreamed of being a journalist, it seemed like a good job to him. But he chose to be a lawyer and was the first to defend a conscientious objector. He started in 1949 twenty years of battles that would have established that right. Then, alongside Loris Fortuna, worked towards the introduction of divorce. Tomorrow he turns one hundred years of a high intensity life: friendship with Natalia Ginzburg in high school, the meetings with Pavese, graduating with Luigi Einaudi, the humiliations of the racial laws, anti-fascism, two arrests, the escape, the bullet stopped by the cigarette case, prison in the political slaughterhouse in Via Asti, free thought as faith and mission. How many things he has seen change? Energetic and lucid, it starts from Turin, where he was a municipal councilor elected in 1975 in the ranks of the PSI, when eighteen-year-olds voted for the first time.
