Fahrenheit 451 it's a novel Of science fiction of the 1953, written by Ray Bradbury. Set in an unspecified future, a “dystopian” society is described (a completely unpleasant and undesirable place) to read or own books is considered a crime, to counter which a special body was established firefighterscommitted to burn any kind of volume.
The memory ofFahrenheit 451,in particular the film of the same name 1966, directed byFrançois Truffaut, it came to mind on the occasion of the controversy surrounding the participation of the Altaforte Publishing House in the Turin Book Fair, controversy sparked by shoutingNever rub elbows with neo-fascists".
Bradbury's novel deals with the delicate topic of information management and control of the company e – under this particular aspect – deals with the same theme as the equally famous novel by Aldous Huxley The new world, published in 1932. In both novels, people's attention towards the actions of the government is annihilated by the imposition of mass consumption, where the ultimate goal is appearance, protagonism and consumerist satisfaction. Fenomenologia dell'anti radical chic

Of Mario Bozzi Trails
Source: Mario Bozzi Trails
We know a lot about chic radicalism and not only from the evergreen book that is the basis of this effective definition (“Radical Chic” by Tom Wolfe), synthesis of the Mundanes' falling in love (rich bourgeois) for their enemies (Black Panthers, trade union activists, third worldists, etc.). Fruit of the age of inconsistency and banality – to use Christopher Lasch's image (“The culture of narcissism”) – the radical chic ended up warming themselves in the light of their idols, being assimilated. “The elite is me”: Bernard-Henri Lévy is embodied on the cover of the glossy rotogravure, while the radical chic vulgate rages on the mass media, in television lounges, on the front pages of newspapers, a sign of reassuring conformism and quiet living.
But the others ? What do we know about no-radical chic? ? Ugly, dirty and bad – according to the current popular belief. Obviously uncultured, intolerant, fearful of differences... In reality - upon closer inspection - the no-radical chic embody an idea, certainly "other", but complex world, with which the dominant culture (and the information media associated with it) sooner or later they will have to start doing the math.
The no-radical chic reject quiet conformism and current approval. They don't know what to do with old ideologies, using popular common sense as a yardstick, that ability to judge reality with balance and reasonableness, understanding the practical needs, of which we had – for decades – lost track. The no-radical chic are proud of their individuality, but they repudiate bourgeois individualism, neo ideology of a man and a woman "freed" from traditional ties (family members, community, national, religious) and increasingly prisoners of contemporary frustrations/depressions. La sfida sociale ha bisogno di "pensieri lunghi"

La sfida sociale ha bisogno di "pensieri lunghi"
Source: Mario Bozzi Trails
Long thoughts are needed. Left and right. Long thoughts on which to underpin the processes of change, political and social. Long thoughts that are the exact opposite of old ideological visions, of the rigid (and unrealistic) nineteenth-century style “posters”.. Above all, there is a need for renewed representative tools, able to give voice to the concrete needs of society, projecting them onto broader scenarios. In this context, the role of trade unions needs to be rethought. It's a topic these days. And it is a crucial theme that does not allow ambiguity.
When the Minister for Economic Development and Labour, Luigi Di Maio, raises the question of union representation, with the idea of "stimulating an updating process", what does he mean ? He wants to continue pursuing the paths of delegitimization of the trade union world, carry on, in recent years by the government left, or hypothesize other working hypotheses ? Does it intend to support the old conflictual logics or look at more organic participatory solutions ?
While waiting to understand the orientations of the Minister and more generally of the current executive, it does not seem trivial to relaunch the topic of co-management, in its broadest and most complete meaning. Read More

Metapolitics of a nascent government

THE OPINION

Metapolitics of a nascent government

Of which the newly formed yellow-green government is the "son". ? Certainly of electoral consensus, collected by the Five Star Movement and the League, today representative of the majority of the Italian people, even beyond mere parliamentary numbers. However, political data alone is not enough.
There are also metapolitical factors, which come to mark the nascent experience of government and underline it, well beyond the programs, the distinctive features. They represent the synthesis of visions and trends that have now settled at the level of public opinion, visions and trends that everyone will finally have to start dealing with, avoiding easy schematizations and preconceived theses.
Meanwhile, there is the long wave of anti-politics, dispensed, in recent years with full hands, through the anti-caste culture and television simplifications: that of complaints about public funding quadrupled in the space of a few years, on inflated “election reimbursements”., on the privileges of parliamentarians, on entertainment expenses without control, on corruption, on political dynasties.
