PIUS EXERCISE IN MEMORY OF THE THREE HOURS OF AGONY OF N. S. JESUS CHRIST
With rescript of 26 August 1814 Pius VII granted perpetually to all the faithful the indulgence of 300 days also applicable to the souls in Purgatory every time they devoutly practice the following devout exercise in memory of the agony of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God help me.
Lord, hurry to help me.

FIRST WORD
Padre, forgive them, because they don't know what they're doing.
We adore, you Christ, and we bless you.
Because through your holy cross you redeemed the world.
Dear Jesus, who for my love are dying on the cross in order to pay the debt of my sins with your pains, and open your divine mouth to obtain forgiveness from eternal justice, have mercy on all the dying faithful and on me when I am in that extremity; and for the merits of your precious blood shed for our health, give us pain that is alive with our sins so that we can breathe our souls into the bosom of your infinite mercy.
Three Glory to the Father, etc.
Pity ours, Sir, pity our.
My God. I believe in you, I hope in you, I love you, and I regret having offended you with my sins.
