Dear Jesus, who for my love are dying on the cross in order to pay the debt of my sins with your pains, and open your divine mouth to obtain forgiveness from eternal justice, have mercy on all the dying faithful and on me when I am in that extremity; and for the merits of your precious blood shed for our health, give us pain that is alive with our sins so that we can breathe our souls into the bosom of your infinite mercy.

Because through your holy cross you redeemed the world.

Dear Jesus, who for my love are dying on the cross, and that with such promptness and such liberality you correspond to the faith of the good thief, who in the midst of your humiliations recognizes you as a child of God, and assure him of paradise, have mercy on all the dying faithful and on me when I am in that extremity; and through the merits of your precious blood revive in our spirit a faith so firm and constant that it does not waver at any suggestion of the devil, so that we too may obtain the reward of holy paradise.

Pity ours, Sir, pity our.

My God. I believe in you, I hope in you, I love you, and I regret having offended you with my sins.

Dear Jesus, who for my love are dying on the cross and forgetting your sufferings, you leave us the most holy sorrowful Mother as a pledge of your love, so that through it we can turn to you with greater confidence in our greatest needs, have mercy on all the dying faithful and on me when I am in that extremity; and for the internal martyrdom of such a dear mother revive in our hearts a firm hope in the infinite merits of your precious blood, so we can avoid the eternal condemnation that we have deserved with our sins.

We adore, you Christ, and we bless you.

Because through your holy cross you redeemed the world.

Dear Jesus who for my love is dying on the cross and who, suffering is added to suffering, beyond many pains in the body, you suffered with invincible patience the most painful affliction of spirit for the abandonment of your eternal Father, have mercy on all the dying faithful and on me when I am in my last extremity; and by the merits of your most precious blood give us the grace to suffer with patience the pains and anguish of our agony, so that by uniting your pains with ours we can then be participants in your glory for all eternity.

PRAYER TO THE SORRY VIRGIN

Most holy grieving mother, for the intense martyrdom you suffered at the foot of the cross in the three hours of agony of Jesus, deign to assist us all, that we are children of your pain, in our agony, so that with your intercession we can pass from the bed of death to crown you in holy paradise.

Three Hail Mary, etc.

Mary Mother of grace,

Mother of Mercy,

You ab hoste protect us,

And receive at the hour of death.

A sudden and sudden death.

Deliver us, Lord.

From the wiles of the Devil.

Deliver us, Lord.

To perpetual death.

Deliver us, Lord.

We pray Deus, who, in the most painful death of your Son, set an example and support for the salvation of the human race; grant, we beseech you, so that in the extreme danger of our death we may achieve the effect of so much charity and the glory of the Redeemer himself. Through the same Christ, etc. Amen.

Finish by reciting the three ejaculations:

Jesus, Joseph Mary, I give you my heart and soul.

Jesus, Giuseppe, and Mary, assist me in my last agony.

Jesus, Joseph and Mary, may my soul die in peace with you.

The Supreme Pontiff Pius VII himself grants 300 days to whoever recites the said three ejaculations, also applicable to the faithful deceased.
