The Single Code on Disability takes its first step. On Thursday evening 28 February the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of President Giuseppe Conte, approved ten bills delegating simplifications to the Government, regulatory reorganizations and sector codifications. The decree cited as n. 6 is that of Delegation to the Government of simplification and codification in the field of disability: «the Government is delegated to adopt one or more legislative decrees, in order to promote, protect and guarantee the full and equal enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms by the person with disabilities and establish the conditions so that any obstacle that limits or prevents their full and free participation in economic life is effectively removed, social and cultural of the nation. The delegation involves intervention in multiple sectors, among which: definition of the disability condition, benefit regulation, promotion of independent living and combating social exclusion, insertion into the world of work and protection of employment levels and finally, accessibility and right to mobility".
