Governments and high finance: l'Italia non è sull'orlo del baratro

“Christ the King” has been supporting what you find in this article for some time. On this topic, conspiracy theories, apocalyptic and other catastrophisms are the result of ignorance, follia of mala fede. Even in our small and varied environment, where it often seems that whoever talks the loudest is right, even if it is not reasonable or documented. (n.d.r.)
Reporting of Federici Studies Center

The current situation of the Italian state commented by the Swiss economist Alfonso Tuor.
Italy is not on the brink of the abyss
This is not yet the beginning of a speculative attack against the grey-green Italian government guilty of challenging European rules on deficit and public debt. Rather, it seems to be the manifestation of financial markets supporting the threats from Brussels, to which are added the attacks from the international press and what should be the Italian opposition. All this appears aimed at ensuring that Rome reverses its spending plans for next year which should lead to a public deficit of 2,4% compared to GDP, incompatible with the objective of reducing a public debt that exceeds 130% of GDP. If it isn't the beginning of the spread war, however, it could be the prelude to it, with the rating agencies that depreciate Italy's creditworthiness and above all with the Eurogroup which initiates a procedure for infringement of the rules of the single currency.

Monti himself confesses it, a Half past eight at Lilli Gruber su La7. “Soros called me suggesting that I ask Europe for help – he revealed -, but we wanted to avoid letting the Troika in and we did not follow that advice. Flat tax and minimum income, what will be in the maneuver

The government is testing the budget law: “Flat tax and minimum income not alternatives, but we will keep accounts in order”
Of Chiara Sarra
“We will make Italians smile”. After the majority summit in view of the economic maneuver.
Luigi Di Maio reassures “the markets and above all families with unemployed children and parents who are unable to retire or have grandparents who have a minimum pension”.
“Citizenship income and flat tax are not alternatives”, promised the M5s deputy prime minister, speaking of the measures most dear to the two souls of the government. Just before a Radical Radio he had talked about one “Copernican revolution in spending Italians' money”: “All the available resources are starting to be spent on a country that for years has seen the money go to the banks and instead now it is starting to be spent on the Italians”, he explained. The whole thing – promises – “with a courageous budget law that will keep the accounts in order”: “The objective is to implement economic measures, do not challenge Europe on the accounts”.
The maneuver will still contain – they assure from Palazzo Chigi – all economic issues addressed by the contract. “Citizenship income must be included in the Budget Law, the overcoming of Fornero, aid to businesses”, Di Maio said, “All this is possible if we start changing the paradigm, if we put citizens at the center. Fare citizen's income in Italy it means helping businesses and artisans, because those people who will be the recipients of the income will spend money, she will be trained for new jobs and we will be able to reintegrate her by eliminating a part of poverty in Italy. That is the factor that is bringing us to a social condition where diversity is increasing”. Read More

Government, Paolo Savona: Defeated dominant groups want the government to fail

Government,Paolo Savona: Defeated dominant groups want the government to failGovernment, Paolo Savona: slowly from 50 billions to restart the country

“Complex policies are needed to emerge from the crisis, which affect the behavior of all citizens. Unfortunately, there is a lack of serious debate on the topic. For now I will limit myself to talking about encouraging a recovery for the second half of the year 2018 and the whole 2019, to reverse the ongoing recessionary trend of the Italian economy. The idea is’ to initiate private and public investments for 50 billion”. Cosi’ the Minister of European Affairs, Paolo Savona, in an interview given to the newspaper L'Unione Sarda. “Based on exact knowledge of this expense – explains Savona – official centers such as Istat, Bank of Italy, Ministry of Economy must calculate the multiplicative effect on GDP. In this case the GDP growth would be in the order of 75/100 billions of euros, with a tax revenue of 37/50 additional billions, which could finance a satisfactory start of the measures envisaged by the Government Contract, respecting European constraints and those deriving from elementary economic logic. I am against a passive attitude towards the crisis”. On the controversy over the positions of the Cagliari economist, 81 years – which will be tomorrow evening’ to Porto Cervo, in Costa Smeralda, to present his book 'Like a nightmare and like a dream', with Bruno Vespa – erupted during the formation of the government, he points out: “I have been and am being condemned, I say it in quotes, not for the ideas I bring but for the ideas I am supposed to bring. It would already be’ it would have been serious if I had been serious about my ideas, e’ shameful that this’ it happened because of the ideas that others have freely attributed to me”. So a complaint: “You are’ an attempt by the dominant groups defeated in the elections of 4 March – Savona declares to L'Unione Sarda – to cause a crisis of our public debt, to make the Government's experiment in progress fail. They deployed all the means and opinion leaders at their service to propitiate the event, without indicating alternatives similar to those I have indicated”.
