“There is a plan to Islamize Nigeria”, is the bishop's cry of alarm (conciliate, n.d.r.) Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe of the diocese of Makurdi to the pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need.
“They want Islamize the central part of the country, also known as the Nigerian Middle Belt, which is inhabited almost entirely by Christians. In the recent attack of 24 April, two priests from my diocese died along with others 17 faithful but the exact number of victims is not yet ascertained", denounces the bishop (conciliate, n.d.r.).
Unfortunately this is not an isolated case. Since the beginning of 2018, ben 11 parishes in the Nigerian diocese have been attacked. In Benue State there have been countless acts of violence against the people who are for the 99% Christian.
