Two Israeli Jews acquitted after attack on Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem
We learned of the decision taken yesterday by the Israeli court to acquit the Jewish suspects who attacked the Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem about three years ago, important sacred place as well as Christian convent.
This decision means that those who attack the Dormition Abbey will not be brought to justice. This reality is unacceptable for us!
Therefore, We call on the Israeli authorities to identify the perpetrators of this attack and punish them in order to deter others from committing similar crimes in the future.!

Israel – The impunity of anti-Catholic Jewish terrorists
Anti-Christianity in Israel – Israeli prosecutors announced they will abandon the prosecution of two Jewish militants charged with separate crimes, including membership of a terrorist organization, and vandalism against a major Jerusalem church. Just over two months ago, the same court had rejected the confession of the youngest of the accused.
The Shin Bet security agency, who directed the investigation, reacted with a statement, underlining how the confession was refused "even though there was no doubt that a significant part of the confessions had been obtained without resorting to inappropriate means".
«The Shin Bet respects the decision [which took place on Monday] of the court, and will continue to act in accordance with the law to ensure the security of the country and combat terrorism, whatever the identity of its authors", the statement adds.
The agency sees this event as a maneuver aimed at delegitimizing the unit responsible for investigating Jewish-related terrorism.
Il 29 July 2015 The Nazareth District Court had suspected Yinon Reuveni and Yehuda Asraf of vandalizing the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes in Tabgha, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. The two were arrested in January 2016, as part of an operation organized by the Shin Bet to dismantle a "terrorist infrastructure" responsible for the fatal fire of a house in the Palestinian village of Duma, in July 2015.
During the interrogation, the younger of the two had confessed to being a member of a terrorist organization, of having vandalized the Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem and of having set fire to many vehicles in the city of Aqraba (in the northern West Bank).
Those responsible for the Dormition Abbey had found parts of the seminary burned, and hateful graffiti – written in Hebrew – on the walls, which they said among other things: «death to Christians», «death to the Arabs», and “Jesus is a monkey”.
The abbey, located near the Cenacle, it has been the target of numerous acts of vandalism over the last ten years. (…)
