Explaining that our Europe is not this, bureaucratic, shy and compromised, but a truly federalist Union”.

In the end, Casini doesn't hold back from judging tenderly Renzi, to whom he extends a hand: “I am well aware of his mistakes, but I wouldn't underestimate the fact that he is among the few who know how to awaken people. Salvini is recognizable in the country, Di Maio and, albeit bruised, Renzi himself. Look at how they welcomed him during the last Unity celebrations. Then sure, I don't think he should go back to being a secretary, it would be humiliating for him too. But imagine a congress in which they exclude Renzi, beh, it's insane”.
