The difference is clearly noticeable: come on 5.800 at 11 thousand kilometers means that the missile, from vector “with intermediate radius“, becomes fully fledged “intercontinental” (Icbm).Furthermore, according to initial information, the Avangard system would effectively nullify the response capabilities of the Nato. Not only would it be a firepower missile unprecedented, but it would also be impossible to intercept. There is therefore no anti-missile shield capable of fully protecting the objectives of the new Russian missile system. As Russian agencies report, Putin himself oversaw the tests from the control center. An eloquent signal of how fundamental the Kremlin considers it to be the system tested in these hours. A political and propaganda choice that sends a message to all the powers of the world: Moscow has not stopped its rush for new weapons. And at a time when tensions with the West show no signs of abating, Moscow reaffirms its desire not to lower its guard. But the news of the Avangard test also arrives in the same hours in which the leaders of the Russian Navy denounced the presence of high-precision weapons near the Russian borders. As reported by the agency Tass, the commander in chief of the Russian Navy, the admiral Vladimir Korolev, he told the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda that he United States have increased the number of high-precision non-nuclear strategic systems in the waters surrounding Russia.
