The clocks of history are marking the time of the outbreak of a new great conflict which will inevitably involve Russia and Iran on one side, The United States with NATO, Israel and Saudi Arabia on the other side.
Conflict could very likely break out in Syria with the intervention of the USA and NATO in favor of Israel which feels threatened by the outcome of the Syrian war, but it is not excluded that the spark of a new conflict could igniten Europe, in Ukraine, where the USA and Canada are supplying sophisticated weapons to the Kiev government which is looking for the outcome of a war to reconquer Donbass in order to evade the very serious problems in which the country finds itself on the brink of economic and social collapse.
The neocons in Washington want at all costs to provoke a conflict with Russia and Iran and for this reason they are pressuring the Trump Administration to take the necessary steps with the massive concentration of weapons implemented by NATO in the Baltic, in Poland and Romania, under Russian borders so that the USA is ready to strike the first blow (nuclear) on bases in Russian territory.
The signs are all there, by the dizzying increase in military spending, from the rush to purchase stocks of weapons and ammunition, to the preparation of fallout shelters in the United States, to the preparation of tactical missiles in the new bases in Eastern Europe. On the other hand, US foreign policy is now in the hands of a group of warmongers whose priority is to reaffirm Washington's unilateral hegemony and stop the rise of Russia, of China and Iran.
There is a detail that should alarm Italy in this context: whatever it isthe next war will start from the Mediterranean (Russian bases in Syria ) o from Europe (Ukraine).
In Italy we talk about politics in view of the elections, many current issues are addressed, almost always about internal politics, from immigration to anti-fascism, ma , the issue that also closely concerns Italy, US aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean, dotted with over one hundred US military bases. Forces, It seems like no one wants to deal with it. With its foundations, Italy constitutes an ideal launching platform for the United States and its wars.
How Italy will position itself in a future conflict? The answer is very easy, given the alliance system in NATO and given that, as has been said, the peninsula has the most important US air and naval bases in the Mediterranean, areas where Americans often do what they want, it seems clear that Italy will be dragged into war with the USA and NATO against Russia and Iran.
This perspective suits all political forces? There is someone who, among the main parties that present themselves to the voters addresses this issue and wants to raise the question? Yes there is someone but it matters little or nothing: Casapound for example on the far right but it has no voice and is not a force represented in Parliament and it is not known whether it will be in the next. Where are the pacifist forces who for years have declared no to war and asked for respect for the Constitution which prohibits Italy from using war as a means of resolving disputes? Disappeared!

Everyone knows that Italy is in fact a depot for foreign weapons, included 90 atomic bombs kept at the Ghjedi and Aviano bases, a true NATO and USA war laboratory. What are the risks faced by Italy in the event of conflict? : Certainly it would be a target of attacks by an opposing force (Russia) with which the USA would make us go to war, willy-nilly. This would perhaps be in Italy's national interest, go to war with Russia?
The government and public opinion are aware of the risks to which we are exposed? If we refer to the gravity of the international situation in which we find ourselves, in addition to the fact that many bases in Italy are already used for war operations in the Middle East and Africa, one cannot help but deduce that awareness on the Italian side is truly minimal.

Rather, through official press releases and the media, attempts are made to misinform on these issues.
Why is such an important issue not even remotely addressed? The subordination of the parties of the left, center and right to the ruinous US policy of wars and chaos must seem so obvious?
Not even a debate or discussion on these issues has ever been heard in the various television diatribes and talk shows broadcast constantly.. Or perhaps it is obvious to say which side we are on and there are still those who believe that the USA represents "democracy" while the others are bad dictators. Saudi Arabia, close ally of the USA and Europe is perhaps a democracy? Israel, state of segregation and apartheid within, we can consider it a democratic state?
These questions appear unanswered and define what the true role of Italian politicians is: waiters of Atlanticist power.
