Milano, 20 Feb – Apparently Kabobo hears the “voices” again. Last year newspapers like Republic they had moved the headline about the “new life of Adam Kabobo”: he studied, he worked in prison, he was being treated. But evidently the uncontrollable monster that agitates the soul of the Ghanaian immigrant has never gone away., That on May 11th 2013 he took to the streets and killed, armed with a pickaxe, three women and injured two men: the day before yesterday, in Opera prison where he is serving a prison sentence of 20 years, the multiple murderer is exploded in a fit of devastating fury so uncontainable that the prison police were forced to ask authorization to sedate him with an injection of tranquilizers.

However, the procedure for obtaining this permit is cumbersome and full of bureaucratic delays: the authorization to compulsory healthcare treatment (the famous Tso) must be requested from the Municipality, which evaluates on a case-by-case basis whether or not to approve the procedure. In the meantime, the officers couldn't do anything else contain the fury as best as possible crazy about the immigrant, trying to avoid, as much as possible, to find yourself in the path of his crazy slashes. And when the consent to the treatment arrived, It certainly wasn't easy to block Kabobo to give him the injection.

A fury, that of the Ghanaian, similar in every way to the one in 2013 took him to slaughter three women with pickaxes. At the time he told the court experts that the blame for this massacre was to be attributed to some “voices I heard in my head” and which evoked the ongoing massacres in northern Ghana. The judges had therefore granted him the mitigating factor of partial mental defect. At first he was a guest of the Conp - the neuropsychiatric center of San Vittore, now closed – and had subsequently been transferred to Opera where the drugs and therapies seemed to be working, so much so that he had started learning Italian and doing small jobs. But evidently the road to bring it to a stable "human" dimension is still very tortuous.
