I know how it will end. I know this because I know the story, I know people, I know the potentates, I know immigrants. I know them like you know them, from experience, precedents, realism and use of the world. Until yesterday the scene was as follows: I haven't heard an Italian that I didn't agree with Salvini, that he did not consider it absurd to incriminate an Interior Minister who is doing his duty, as well as his electoral mandate, to safeguard the nation's borders, as provided for by the Constitution, and protect Italians, reject illegal arrivals and reiterate that migrants do not land in Italy but in Europe. It is absurd that we have to remember Europe when it comes to paying debts or not breaking the bank. And instead we must forget about Europe when the migrants arrive because then, suddenly, we become a nation and we have to deal with it ourselves. Our sovereignty consists in the obligation to welcome them, even if everyone else doesn't want them. Until yesterday there wasn't a person I spoke to who wasn't of this idea in one way or another.
On the other hand, I haven't heard a news broadcast, and program, a commentator, a man of power or a newspaper that was not aligned against Italy, against the Italians, against Salvini and on the side of Europe that doesn't care about migrants, on the side of the judges who indict ministers in the name of the law, on the side of migrants who land illegally. A dry match, the united people on one side, compact power on the other. Almost no one in Salvini's company, the League is there but you can't see it, there is only him, there is the Meloni and then down the desert. The grillini, when they are not hanging on the Fig Tree, and therefore they lean to the left, they act like di Maio in order to float and stay where they are, and play at being superminister, he is ready to take it all back and dump the Ally on whom the Palace's media-judicial cannons are aimed, dai catto-bergogliosi to the scattered left.
How do you want a game like this to end, do you think that the Italians can achieve something through Salvini if ​​the entire Establishment is united at the feet of Europe and in favor of the landings, without caring about the consequences, but only by calculating the political profits that will accrue to them? Salvini will be virtually imprisoned, until it is neutralized. He won't go to jail but he will be marginalized, chemically castrated. And it's curious to think that everyone those who defeated the left they have always been – by hook or by crook – considered criminals: Berlusconi, Salvini, the right, even Cossiga when he opposed the establishment, Leone when he opposed the historical compromise and Craxi when he tried to assert the primacy of politics and Italy and opposed Catholic-communism. But it is possible that any opponent of the left who has won in Italy with popular consensus must by definition be a criminal, for business and misdeeds, subversion and violation of the Constitution, for fascism, racism or other phobias now known to you? The actors change but the game is always between the left and the criminals, between potentates and the underworld. The opponent of the left is tolerated only if he is a loser, if he is submissive, if it doesn't bother you, he does upholstery and maybe bends to them. Yet I have never seen such subversion, so much contempt for the Italians, so much abuse, abuse and mafia disguised as law and democracy, of Europe and of Modernity as that of those who hold true power in Italy. When outsiders win, government is one thing, power is another, they don't coincide. Maybe they'll put system guards in government, the Moaveros and the Trias. But otherwise they are surrounded, power is a dome that holds those who govern in check and the people who support them in contempt.
But I also know from experience how those poor victims who have just landed will end up. The diocese will give them a crust of bread for a while but then they will be in a large majority, paid by the Italian State, starting from healthcare. Someone will become a drug dealer or be hired by local crime, someone will commit sexual violence and abuse as we hear about it every day being all males, young, idle and with raging hormones, someone will commit crime and steal on their own, someone - more honest or more naive - will go to work in the countryside and the left will therefore also be able to speculate on their exploitation as slaves of the corporals (which Salvini famously established them, they didn't exist before, in the times of Renzi and Gentiloni and Prodi they were just a bad memory of the past). Some of them will hate the country that welcomed them, fed and clothed and will indulge in subversive violence, sometimes chanting on the web, sometimes actively participating in the war against us, up to the terrorism of Islamic fanatics.
And someone, goodbye, it will fit into our society and integrate. They are 170, maybe eighteen, like the ship that brought them to us. One in ten.
That's why I know how it will end. The consensus for Salvini will deflate sooner or later, when they see that it cannot produce the desired results, that their Tribune will be isolated, his decisions will be systematically dismantled by the Palaces. Then the Italians will adapt, as they always have done, they will draft because they don't want to embark on a civil war. They will take refuge in TVs and smartphones. And that's what the jackals and hyenas variously disseminated in the media are waiting for, in the courts, in the palaces of power. On the other hand, It is true, one cannot think of governing without creating a ruling class, without having a strategy, but only on the skin, by ear, a barrage of tweets, video e like. And so that absolute gap between the people and power will remain, everyone will find an alibi to mind their own business. And Italy will be well and truly screwed.
