President, you make us feel Italian? You can make your voice heard against the real scoundrels who every day in Brussels believe they have the right to be able to insult us in a bad way?
It's really becoming a problem to listen to in the morning, afternoon and evening from Tiggi' the discordant word of the European Commissioner Moscovici: “Like the Hungarians – he went so far as to say in a speech at a conference at the OECD headquarters in Paris – the Italians too have opted for a decidedly Eurosceptic and xenophobic government which, on migration and budget issues, is trying to get rid of European obligations”.
But how dare you? It must be the government that defends itself from this nonsense or the head of state will finally feel the need to do so?
This is not about supporting the economic policy choices of the executive, but simply what emerges is the need to protect Italy's sovereignty even against what a vulgar European scoundrel mutters.
But who authorizes an EU commissioner to label our country as racist and xenophobic? And that mafia reference to Hungary serves to precede a further step by the European Parliament after the vote against Orban? It is the order they intend to give?
Ecco, We expect a position from Mattarella that gives the sense of a Nation that does not allow itself to be insulted for a few decimals in the budget or for the stop to wild immigration within our borders. The President of the Republic certainly has no shortage of ways to speak his mind to a Europe that seems to have decided to elevate itself to the role of enemy of the Italian government.
It is Italy that has to establish at what age to retire workers and not Mr. Moscovici; it is the government of Rome that has the right to decide how many taxes can be paid to our tax authorities and not Brussels; and if we want to hire thousands of police officers to ensure security in our cities, we do not have to ask permission from the so-called community authorities.
We can discuss - and of course - the deficit we can allow ourselves with respect to the gross domestic product, even if we are well below European constraints; but no one can authorize that scum to attack us with lots of insults.
It's time that the highest authority of the Republic, with the authority of what it represents, decide to shield your nation, that cannot tolerate the level of insults that spill out of the EU Buildings every day.
We are Italians and then Europeans; while others are European and anti-Italian. And the Quirinale cannot suffer all this.
Right, The Democratic Party might be displeased with Mattarella's stance; but he should be of little interest in what an opposition says that is incapable of dealing with accusations that should be rejected by everyone.
We are confident in a clear stance. And the majority of Italians will be grateful to the President of the Republic.
