There is a problem that no one wants to face. That problem is called Sergio Mattarella. Obviously nothing personal towards the President of the Republic, but what is happening could be dangerous for our democracy.

It is now clear that the political struggle is no longer between left and right, but between sovereignism and globalism, that is, between those who want the restoration of the sovereignty of national states and those who would instead like a European super-state that deprives individual sovereignties.
On this new battleground the Head of State, which according to our Constitution should exercise its functions impartially, instead he openly sided with the globalist project.
There is no occasion in which the President of the Republic does not recall one of the key principles of liberalism, the economic doctrine on which the European Union is based: budget balance. The other day during the greetings to the new magistrates of the Court of Auditors, a few months ago recalling the article 97 of the Constitution, the one that ensures – said Mattarella – the sustainability of the public debt. In short, not the original Constitution but the one raped by Constitutional Law n. 1/2012 which introduced the balanced budget constraint into the Charter. A law harshly contrary to the principles of the Constitution of 1948.
Not by chance, as also admitted by former PD justice minister Andrea Orlando a couple of years ago, a constitutional law approved without adequate discussion and under blackmail from the ECB. A real coat of concrete, we add, which has condemned the generation of current forty-year-olds to death.
Yet Mattarella, instead of recalling the articles 1 e 4 of the Constitution - i.e. the principles of the right to work and popular sovereignty - never misses an opportunity to insist on the principle of budget balance.
Mattarella therefore, in light of the nature of the new political conflict (sovereignism versus globalism), harshly criticizing "the sovereignist narrative" - ​​as he called it a few months ago - and continuing every time to recall budget balance and the path that leads to the United States of Europe, proves that he is not a third and impartial arbiter, but a player from one of the two teams on the field.
This leads to a serious impairment of the delicate institutional balance on which a democratic regime is based. The opposition, completely legitimate, it must be done by the parties in parliament and not by the President of the Republic.
