Pope Francis welcomes the approval of the Global Compact for Migration, developed at the UN and adopted by 164 Villages – not from Italy – in the Marrakech Intergovernmental Conference, and makes a further appeal to the international community to take action towards migrants “with responsibility, solidarity and compassion”.
