In the state of Israel, which defines itself as “exclusively Jewish” (law passed in the Knesset on 19/7/2018), after much opposition and hesitation, non-Jews were granted a prayer space at Tel Aviv airport (albeit with discreet signage to avoid acts of vandalism by Orthodox Jews).
Prayer rooms for Christians and Muslims at Tel Aviv airport
In a new wing of the Terminal 3 At the Israeli international airport, two separate rooms have been opened for the prayer of non-Jews
Two hands open in the gesture of prayer, above a writing in Hebrew, in Arabic and English. In the new E wing of the Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion airport - Israel's international airport - a simple and non-denominational sign has been indicating the "prayer rooms" for a few weeks. Simple environments, opened without too much fuss, but which mark an important gesture: the debut of a public space designed for the spiritual life of non-Jews in one of the busiest environments in Israel.
There was obviously already a synagogue at Ben Gurion airport, as in all the most important Israeli meeting places. And it was already since 2006 that the airport authority had talked about the idea of opening a space for non-Jewish prayer in the new Terminal, also due to the fact that Muslims and Christians together represent almost the 20% of the Israeli population and frequent the airport like everyone else. However, this project was lost in the maze of bureaucracy, until a singular accident relaunched the need for it: In the 2015 on the day of Simchat Torah – a Jewish holiday, during which religious Jews do not travel – a family of Muslim Turks in transit from the airport mistook the completely empty synagogue for a mosque and started praying there, even using tallits (the prayer cloaks of the Jewish tradition) like carpets. When some passerby noticed it and pointed it out to him, the family immediately interrupted their prayer and apologized, thus showing that he was in good faith and did not have any provocative intent. But the images were still too tasty not to circulate on social media.

The news of the latest events in Syria, from the first Russian bombings on Idlib province to American threats, from the Russian reconnaissance plane shot down by Syrian anti-aircraft due to the maneuvers of Israeli fighters to the missiles on Latakia to the phosphorus bombs dropped by the Americans on Deir Ezzor, it's obviously dramatic.
But the political background is more complex than it seems, in a certain sense, even less worrying. The game is the same as usual: control of Syria. Or better: the control of its fragmentation. A very powerful coalition for seven years, which goes from Saudi Arabia to the USA, from France to the United Kingdom, from Türkiye to Qatar, passing through a long series of countries that have been or are "de facto" accomplices, works to disintegrate the political and territorial unity of Syria.
These countries have not always shown perfect unity of action or political vision. Turkey, for example, after the failed coup of 2016, which Recep Tayyip Erdogan considers inspired by the USA, it took an autonomous path and built a sort of understanding with Russia and Iran. Nonetheless, that has always been the goal, under the slogan “Assad must go”. Such an important goal that, to reach it, the strange coalition has gradually bet on different horses. Read More

It seemed somehow fitting that the first news of Uri Avnery's passing came to me from one of Israel's staunchest enemies, the leader of the Lebanese Druze Walid Jumblatt. A legend that brings sad news of another legend, a socialist preparing to mourn a fellow socialist, which expresses its condolences for the ninety-four-year-old Israeli political philosopher. The same philosopher who, a time, he had been a German Jewish schoolboy, Helmut Ostermann, who refused to give the Nazi salute to Hitler at school, but what it had become, according to the message I had received from Jumblatt, “a mind absolutely indispensable for the understanding of fascism, the greatest destructive factor of the 20th century.” Words by Jumblatt. “Avnery,” he then added [Jumblatt], “he also understood the meaning of Zionism, another ignoble theory based on apartheid, nothing more than an offshoot of fascism.” Uri Avnery he had a very serious heart attack over the weekend and died on Monday morning. He considered himself a Zionist, or at least a believer in a left-wing Israel, courageous but humble “beacon of light among the nations,” a type of nation to which, in our hearts, I'd like to believe. He was among those Israelis who we, liberals with a tender heart, we hurried to visit as soon as we got in Israel, because they said what we wanted to hear. Read More
(with a nice genocide) The ultra-Zionist Betzalel Smotrich, on the population of Gaza: “let them all die of hunger, of thirst and malaria". New settlements in the West Bank and recognition of the Golan: Israel defies international law
Israel to revive extensive Jewish construction projects in West Bank. The super hawk Avigdor Lieberman anticipated it on Twitter, Defense Minister of the government chaired by Netanyahu. “Next week – he wrote – we will submit to the Superior Council for planning in Judea-Samaria (West Bank) plans for the construction of 2.500 accommodation, 1.400 of which to be implemented immediately". “We will extend construction throughout Judea-Samaria – he added – from North to South, in small and large settlements”.
Israel militarily occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in the war 1967 and has since built dozens of settlements in a territory that according to international law belongs to what should become the State of Palestine, an area that the UN recognizes as "occupied territories".
Since the beginning of the Trump administration, Israel has stepped up, according to reports presented by some NGOs, the construction of new homes and new settlements in the occupied territories, a sign that the presence of a friendly government like the American one has created the conditions for Israel from an international point of view to implement a new phase of building expansion.
They burned prisoners alive, slaughtered hundreds of people, even practiced cannibalism. Yet even Islamic terrorists have a heart: Indeed, after occupying the Palestinian refugee camp in Yarmouk, in Syria, they were concerned with looking for the bodies of two Israeli soldiers who died in 1982 and buried in the camp cemetery, then handing over the bodies to the Tel Aviv government to ensure a Jewish burial. Such a touching story (prudently censored by mass disinformation organs) worthy of the Heart book!
Yarmouk, terrorists exhume corpses of Israeli soldiers
Syria – Terrorist groups present in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk have exhumed the bodies of Israeli soldiers, confirming the close cooperation between terrorists and Tel Aviv.
The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen news channel quoted the deputy secretary general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (Fplp), Tallal al-Naji, who declared that Isil, the al-Nusra Front and the terrorists of the Free Syrian Army have exhumed the graves in the Yarmouk refugee camp, on the outskirts of Damascus, on orders from Tel Aviv to find the bodies of Israeli soldiers. The order to transfer the soldiers' bodies to Israel was issued by the Israeli command center.
While bon ton Italy has a good time discussing populism and sovereignism, the Empire strikes again. Mike Pompeo, the secretary of state who came from the CIA (where it leaves, as new boss, tale Gina Haspel, at the time neocon very active in torture and now in fact confirmed in office with the decisive votes of the Democrats), announces "the harshest sanctions in history" against Iran, which could only be canceled if the ayatollahs took appropriate measures. Like disappearing off the face of the earth or converting to Buddhism. There is a basis for the disagreement with Iran, as is known, the Iranian nuclear deal signed in 2015 there USA, Ue, Russia in Onu. For almost the entire world the agreement works and, at a minimum, has blocked Iran's path to military nuclear power 15-20 years. For three countries, however, it is a dangerous disaster. Three against all, but in the three, alongside Israel and Saudi Arabia, there is the Empire, then the table jumps. Bad but that's how empires do it.
In the same speech, but, Pompeo, on behalf of the American administration, clearly explained the fate that awaits us: “We understand the financial and economic hardship this imposes on our friends, but you should know that we will hold accountable those who do prohibited business with Iran. I know that the Europeans want to preserve the nuclear agreement but now they know what our position is".
It's beautiful. Why Pompey, when he talks about “forbidden affairs”, means the businesses prohibited by the USA and the sanctions decided by them, not illicit or criminal business at all. 5 billions of actual trade, others 25 between protocols and agreements already signed and to be implemented. To give an idea: 30 billion was the value of the Italian Stability Law of 2018.

Israel has repeatedly hit Syria with missiles and rockets, the most recent exchange took place after Israel declared that “Iranian rockets” had hit Israeli army positions in the Golan Heights which it illegally occupies. Titles, as ofIndependent, “Israel and Iran on the brink of war after the bombing of Syria in response to the alleged attack on the Golan Heights“, attempt to portray Israeli aggression as self-defense. L’Independent, However, it provided no evidence to confirm Israel's claims. For facade, with Iran inexplicably launching missiles against Israel, unprovoked and gaining no tactical advantage, strategic or political, the credibility of Israel's narrative is further eroded. But perhaps it is US public policy that designates Israel as a hostile provocateur charged with expanding Washington's proxy war against Damascus, to reveal the lethal and deceptive game that Israel and the Western media play. For years, US politicians have admitted in their newspapers that the US wants regime change in Iran and is trying to provoke a war to achieve it. Read More
