France, Catholic churches under attack: “anti-Christian vandalism”

Middle AgesOne of the biggest mysteries, I say this without irony, was the misleading transformation of the "medieval" term in adjective – I quote the Treccani dictionary – referring to «outdated and retrograde conceptions and principles". It seems that behind all this there is illuminist hand, but it's worth seeing clearly.
Also because, I am trying to say: the reviled Middle Ages gave us art, cathedrals, monasteries and culture still today (also economically, think about tourism) they yield fortunes: I don't know if in a few years - I doubt it - anyone will want to go for a ride, not only if paying but not even if paid, in many abortions signed by our starchitects; but we bet that there will still be interest in what the medieval era has left?
