The new mantra of the left these days is that Italy has not really come to terms with the fascism. The newspapers wrote it, Republic, television programs such as Eight and a Half and politicians have said it. But I wonder: how do you support this thesis? If there is a country where people talk about nothing but fascism, it is Italy. You have him, we have had readings and rereadings by left-wing historians (who have had a sort of exclusivity on the topic for years) and those on the right.

The right, moreover, he also dealt with the worst of fascism: racial laws and racist ideology. But all this is completely unknown to the left-wing intellectuals, who are awarded this title even when they show sensational ignorance of what has been said, studied and published over the last seventy years.
