The concord – teaches Pope Pius XII in «of the Eastern Church», 9.4.1944 – «It requires unity of faith, unity of love (towards God and towards others), unity of obedience". In the same place he states: «It's not legal, not even under color of making harmony easier, dissimulate not even a single dogma: since, as the Alexandrian Patriarch warns [Saint Cyril of Alexandria, ndR]: “Desiring peace is certainly the greatest and most important of goods, However, for this reason we must not pretend that the virtue of Christ's piety is involved”. Therefore it does NOT lead to the much desired return of the errant to sincere and right unity in Christ, that theory which places only those heads of doctrine as the foundation of the unanimous consensus of the faithful, on which all or at least most of the Communities, who boast of the name Christian, they agree; ma [leads to Christ] the other that, without excluding or diminishing any of them, it fully accepts any truth revealed by God [and by the Church defined, ndR]».
This infallible sentence of the Pontiff is an explicit condemnation of the system of ecumenism (cfr. «Church condemnations of ecumenism»).
Pope Pius IX in «If the Divine Master» (15.11.1877) he asserts: «You must maintain with Us a perfect unanimity of thoughts and works to counter the efforts of impiety and rebellion, repudiating every extraneous investigation and dispute. Guided by this prudent determination, you will welcome with docility and reverent respect, and you will accurately execute the Documents and advice of this Holy See, and in this way you will easily avoid the frequent pitfalls of those, who are wise in their own eyes and arogant to the arbitrary mission of advising and persuading what they recklessly think should be done to bring about order and peace, not a few of Our children, even among those most devoted to Us, enticed by the splendor of ingenuity and doctrine, little by little they move away from the usual reverence for Our admonitions: and thereby breaking the unanimity, divide the Catholic forces, that they should, unite, stand up to enemies. We therefore pray to God that he will always make you continue to fight for justice with Us and according to the advice of this Chair of truth, and thus deserve the graces necessary in such a difficult fight and finally achieve the reward prepared for fighters for such a cause".
Pope Leo XIII teaches in the «Immortal Gods» (1.11.1885): «How many there are worthy of the name of Catholics, it is essential that they are and openly show themselves to be loving children of the Church: that they reject themselves, without hesitation at all, everything that is irreconcilable with this profession: that the political orders dictate, as honestly it can be done, in defense of the cause of truth and justice: that they strive to ensure that freedom never crosses borders, assigned by the laws of Nature and God: that they work to make the present society turn towards the ideal of the Christian Society". A clear condemnation of so-called secularism.
And again: «Nevertheless, let us take care above all to preserve the agreement of wills and the unity of action. And both of these things will be fully achieved, if everyone will take into account the provisions of the Apostolic See by law, he will be docile towards the Bishops, that the Holy Spirit placed to govern the Church. The defense of the Catholic Faith absolutely requires that in professing the doctrines taught by the Church everyone be of one mind, and of an unshakable constancy; and from this we must be careful not to allow ourselves to connive at the error, or to offer him weaker resistance than the truth requires".
The Pontiff, it is necessary to clarify this, indicates the ordinary norms of behavior towards Church men in a condition that we can define as normal; very different from the fifty-year detestable events that have seen the Church held hostage by the modernists: the first to have rejected concord, trading truth for errors.
Pope Saint PiusThe firm purpose» (11.6.1905) he states: «It is extremely important that Catholics proceed with exemplary harmony among themselves; which however will not be obtained, if there isn't unity of purpose in everyone".
The same Pontiff in Motu proprio «Since the first» (18.12.1903) writes: «Since differences of opinion in the practical field very easily lead to the theoretical one, and indeed they must necessarily keep their fulcrum in this, it is necessary to solidify the principles by which it must be informed [all] Catholic action".
And Pope Pius XII in «When it comes out next» (12.3.1943) he asserts: «With greater commitment every day, strive to maintain strong harmony and union of souls, without which nothing can be preserved for long, nothing will be fruitful. Nourish and strengthen a very close union with the Bishops, e, above all, with the Roman Pontiff, which is a sure sign of success. “I beg you… that you all say the same… may you be perfect in the same feeling and in the same thinking”». He is quoting St. Paul, I Cor., I, 10.
I close with Pope Pius XI in «The announcement of the VI Congress» (2.9.1936): «At the moment in which the forces of evil gather to better take flight and launch into the attack (…) it is strictly necessary to close the ranks. (…) Catholics do not ignore the inexhaustible sources of which the Church is the fortunate custodian for the solution of every social question, morale, religious, at any time and in any place, thanks to the infallible doctrines of Him who alone has the words of eternal life and can, in the confusion of ideas and passions that agitate Society, restore light to the spirits and peace to the masses. The eternal truths (…) they are the best guarantee of the perfect social modernity of Catholicism" (Cfr. «Dictionary of the Political Doctrine of the Popes», Ed.
