Verona 2019: World Congress of Families

Guarda a Northeast ma, above all, a East, the next one World Congress of Families. Verona, which will host the event at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia, dal 29 al 31 March 2018, it is the city symbol of renewed commitment pro life Italian. The Scaliger administration, Indeed, with a motion passed by a large majority, yes it is self-proclaimed Pro-life cities, committing itself to measures for demographic revitalization and the limitation of the use of abortion, and proposing itself as a cutting-edge municipality and point of reference for all communities pro life national.

Politicians, associations and representatives of civil society will discuss the following topics for three days: the beauty of marriage; children's rights; integral human ecology; the woman in history; demographic growth and crisis; women's health and dignity; divorce: causes and effects; company policies for family and birth rates. The World Congress of Families, it will end with a march of families for the family, in the center of Verona, early Sunday afternoon 31 March.
Among the participating subjects: il Let's Defend Our Children Committee; Family Generation; Pro Vita Onlus; CitizenGO; Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini; the leader of Brothers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni; the mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina; the president of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia; the Minister for Family and Disability, Lorenzo Fontana. Many presences from Eastern Europe: the president of Moldova, Igor Dodon; the Hungarian Secretary of State and Minister for the Family, Katalin Novak, the Polish ambassador to Italy, Konrad Glebocki. Worth noting, among ecclesiastical representatives, His Beatitude Ignace Joseph III Younan, patriarch of the Syro-Catholic Church, and the founder and president of the association Meter, Don Fortunato Di Noto.
The experience of Eastern countries will be of considerable interest, given the success of their demographic policies, particularly in Hungary, whose practice may be useful to countries particularly in crisis such as Italy. It's Italy, as the host nation, to be invested with significant responsibility: we are probably the European country furthest behind in terms of family policies and, at the same time, we are the country where, always give, the family is more anthropologically rooted and, more than elsewhere, it has real welfare and social safety net functions.
Furthermore, if it is true that, with the current government, the dangers of a valueless drift that is harmful to the family are momentarily around the corner, it is also true that the ideology of gender and surrogacy continue to be promoted by educational institutions, by the media and the judiciary, encouraging us not to let our guard down and to develop "attack" strategies and no longer just "defense" ones. In light of the scenarios described, Verona 2019 represents a unique opportunity, a train that would be a shame to miss.
