The Gentiloni government cuts 10 millions for disabled people, but Martina attacks Fontana

Disabled, “fund reduced by 10 millions". Martina: "shame". But it's a boomerang for the Democratic Party: the cut is made by the Gentiloni government

A statement from the League for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities denounced the cut in appropriations. And Martina immediately attacked the Lega-M5s executive on Facebook: “Yet another madness that only causes damage to those who are most fragile”. The Minister of the Fontana Family intervened to deny it: “It is disconcerting that a former minister does not know what his government was doing”. And the dem secretary deletes the post
Of
Ten million less for people with serious disabilities and devoid of family support. The news, which concerns a significant cut in resources expected for 2018 and the 2019, she ended up at the center of a sometimes paradoxical story. Because after the publication of a press release from Ledha, the League for the rights of people with disabilities, in which the president Alessandro Manfredi referred to the “overall gap in two years that the government has applied to the 'After us' fund as part of the Budget Law”, the secretary of the Democratic Party Maurizio Martina, together with other exponents of the Pd, attacked the current executive in a post published on Facebook. “The umpteenth madness of a government that only damages those who are most fragile” he wrote yesterday afternoon Martina. Evidently forgetting that, actually, “It was the government that cut those funds Gentlemen, of which Martina “He was a minister.”. He explained it last night, in another post, the minister for Family and Disabilities Lorenzo Fontana. E, contacted by ilfattoquotidiano.it, from the Ministry they let it be known "that they have already taken action to provide for the restoration of the bottom and also evaluate the enhancement”. In short, a boomerang for Martina That, Indeed, he was quick to delete the post on Facebook. But the cut remains. “In Lombardy Region – lets know ilfattoquotidiano.it the Pirellone – the cut of 5 million of the funds for the 'After Di Noi' measure arranged by Gentiloni government it will cost more than 850.800 euro, i.e. the 10% of the sum allocated by the allotment". Why Israel struck Syria immediately after the Idlib agreement

Of Fulvio Scaglione
Why Israel struck Syria immediately after the Idlib agreement
Source: The eyes of war
The news of the latest events in Syria, from the first Russian bombings on Idlib province to American threats, from the Russian reconnaissance plane shot down by Syrian anti-aircraft due to the maneuvers of Israeli fighters to the missiles on Latakia to the phosphorus bombs dropped by the Americans on Deir Ezzor, it's obviously dramatic.
But the political background is more complex than it seems, in a certain sense, even less worrying. The game is the same as usual: control of Syria. Or better: the control of its fragmentation. A very powerful coalition for seven years, which goes from Saudi Arabia to the USA, from France to the United Kingdom, from Türkiye to Qatar, passing through a long series of countries that have been or are "de facto" accomplices, works to disintegrate the political and territorial unity of Syria.
These countries have not always shown perfect unity of action or political vision. Turkey, for example, after the failed coup of 2016, which Recep Tayyip Erdogan considers inspired by the USA, it took an autonomous path and built a sort of understanding with Russia and Iran. Nonetheless, that has always been the goal, under the slogan “Assad must go”. Such an important goal that, to reach it, the strange coalition has gradually bet on different horses. Read More

The United States is a dead man walking

The United States is a dead man walking
Source: Comedonchisciotte
There is a ferocious attack on the truth. If we do not use our website well, we will find ourselves in total darkness.
Yesterday while I was driving, I turned on the radio in the car to hear if the Russians/Syrians had started the liberation of Idlib, in Syria by Washington-backed terrorists. Everything I heard instead, were radio NPR, they were two white women deploring white racism. They felt so guilty for having indirectly benefited from white racism that, Me too, it felt like drowning in the guilt of one of those females, before he had even finished speaking.
You won't be able to believe what an "indirect benefit" was that produced a severe form of guilt in the white female., but maybe it's good to try. She had bought a brick bungalow identical to the one next door, where a black American lived, with the difference that the attic of his house had been completely renovated, while his black neighbor's attic had not been renovated. His racial guilt stemmed from the fact that the white person from whom he bought the house could have made his attic nicer, while his black neighbor had not been able to do so, It seems like it's because of racism. How many billions do the unions collect?: the secret budgets of CGIL, CISL and UIL

Image results for CGIL, CISL, UILThe accounts of the large workers' associations are one of Italy's best kept secrets. However, “L'Espresso” did some analysis, adding the proceeds from registrations to public funding. Result? A mountain of money

CONSIDER THAT ARTICLE E’ FROM 3 YEARS AGO BUT VERY CURRENT (N.D.R.)

Of STEFANO LIVADIOTTI
Per Susanna Camusso it's almost an obsession. Since she took office at the top of the CGIL (il 3 November 2010) she climbed 67 times on stages of every order and degree to invoke transparency. The leader of the largest Italian trade union, however, promptly forgot about it as the end of the year approached and the moment for the CGIL to do the math on the contributions of the members rounded up in the twelve months.
Yes, because the Corso d'Italia union, which is not required to do so by law, you are careful not to publish a consolidated financial statements: like the cousins of Cisl and Uil, he limits himself to putting together in a few pages the numbers that concern only the activity of the Roman headquarters. Small change, compared to the real turnover of the confederations, which over the years have transformed into apparatuses capable of profiting even from redundant workers and socially useful workers (in the last year INPS has paid to CGIL, CISL and UIL 59,4 millions of withholdings on social safety nets)
«The unions have a lot of money», the Prime Minister complained in recent days, Matteo Renzi, who doesn't really love them. Several recent news episodes confirm that there is a lot of money circulating in the corridors of union offices. And that their use is very often a little too casual.
Early November 2014 the secretary of the CISL suddenly resigned from his position, Raffaele Bonanni: a dossier was circulating in the building documenting the increase in his salary 79 thousand euros prior to the appointment to 336 thousand of 2011. And this summer an email from a CISL manager raised the veil on the golden remuneration of some of his colleagues capable of covering multiple roles: the president of the Inas-Cisl patronage, Antonino Sorgi, for example, In the 2014 he brought home 77.969 euros of pension, more 100.123 for the Inas et al 77.957 for Inas real estate.
So they have the money. But knowing how many is almost impossible. The true financial statements of unions are one of the country's best-kept secrets. They refuse to provide exhaustive data. And those who know the figures prefer not to expose themselves. As, at least on some chapters, you have to go by approximation. We see.
THE MEMBERS' TREASURE
The hard core of union finances is the membership card, which each member pays with a small share of the basic salary (or pension). In the budgets of the three confederations they are indicated as a whole 68 millions 622 mila 445 euros and 89 cents. But it's a good joke. In fact, these are only the shares retained by the holding companies. To get closer to the true figure you need to follow another path. CGIL, CISL and UIL declare that they represent all together 11 millions 784 thousand and 662 test (who swoop down when it's time to pay contributions to the Confédération Européenne des Syndicats, where you pay a lot in writing). The unions ask for registration 0,80 percent of the annual salary for active workers and half for pensioners.
Knowing the distribution of members between the two categories, the average salaries of Italian employees (25.858 gross euros, according to Istat) and average pensions (16.314 gross euros, for Istat), it is therefore possible to calculate. The CGIL should collect 741 million or so euros (they admit just over half: 425 millions). At the CISL we would arrive at 608 millions (in via Po they talk about 80 million approximately). And Uil would pocket it 315 millions (in via Lucullo they scale down to a hundred million).
Only the tiles would therefore almost guarantee 1,7 billion. Ora: it is possible that the calculations of "l'Espresso" are approximated to excess, if you consider the mix of members (full-time, part-time, seasonal); the duration of the payment, not always uninterrupted; the impact of any periods of layoffs. But one thing is certain: the treasure of tiles is not only worth approximately 600 millions and pennies that say CGIL, CISL and UIL. According to what "l'Espresso" is able to reveal, Indeed, in the last year only the INPS withheld from the pensions paid, and filmed at CGIL, CISL and UIL, 260 million for the payment of the union card. A figure to which the share pertaining to the confederations must be added 266 millions that INPS collects from artisans and traders and then transfers to workers' organizations for the registration fee. Already with these items we arrive close to the total sum admitted by CGIL, CISL and UIL. So the numbers don't add up.
ONLY FROM INPS 423 MILLIONS
Then there are the patronages, who provide free assistance services to workers and pensioners for social security benefits and are then reimbursed by social security institutions. According to the “Note on direct and indirect financing of the union”, developed by Giuliano Amato on behalf of the then prime minister Mario Monti, only in 2012 INPS paid them 423,2 million euros (tax-free money, what's more, based on an inscrutable logic).
According to what appears to "l'Espresso", Inca-Cgil took the lion's share (85,3 million euros), Inas-Cisl (65,5 millions) and Ital-Uil (31,2 millions). «It seems clear that the functioning of the patronages does not involve public financing, albeit indirect, of the promoting associations or organizations (the unions, ndr)», Amato wrote in his report. But then Doctor Thin himself felt compelled to add a note: «There is actually only one provision (non-legislative, but statutory) which can be read in this key, that is, the one according to which, in the event of dissolution of the entity (the patronage, ndr), the donation of the entire assets of the latter to the promoting organization is envisaged. Beyond that…». But how do you say "beyond that"?

Banks, Germany admits 10 years later: rotten institutions, so we ruined you

Maybe: perhaps it will be because the presidency of the ECB is now over given Angela Merkel's preference for the command of the EU commission. Or perhaps because it has to face the twin crises of Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank. The fact remains that, for the first time the head of the Bundesbank, Jens Weidmann admits that the German credit giants were not victims of the crisis 2008. If anything protagonists. “Many banks took on risks they couldn't bear,” he says in a statement’ interview published by Bild, the most widely circulated German newspaper.

Report: "Il papa re"

Reporting of Siegfried Ranucci
Corruption, Formigoni sentenced on appeal to seven and a half years
Increased sentence of 25%, and 6 seven and a half years old, for the former senator and former president of the Lombardy Region Roberto #Formigoni, at the end of the second degree trial linked to the collapse of the San Raffaele hospital in Milan and the financial collapse of the Maugeri Foundation in Pavia. For Formigoni, in addition to the penalty, the ban from public offices was also aggravated, and 6 years a “in perpetuity”. The accusation is corruption: the then governor would have obtained a series of benefits, including the use of yachts, holidays and dinners, to favor the two bodies with council resolutions for approximately 200 millions of public reimbursements. The former councilor Antonio Simone and the fixer Pierangelo Daccò reached a plea agreement and thus exited the trial. #Report followed the story in three investigations by Alberto Nerazzini: “Divine providence” of the 11/12/2011 (https://bit.ly/2MKPV6A), “The Pope King” of the 04/11/2012 (http://bit.ly/2xxobMZ) e “Do ut des” of the 05/05/2013 (http://bit.ly/2xz5W9Z)

Media versus people

Media versus people

Cara Lilli Gruber, but how can Italians trust you if you write about itSet a comment with a title like that: “All populists lie. They are dangerous and opportunistic"? And the title faithfully responds to the development. He knows he's offending three-quarters of his viewers?
Like the 60% I feel like one of the Italians right now, with all the critical reservations that I do not hide, more on the side of the populists than their enemies. And I'm not just offended by his definition, how hurt by Italian, as a journalist and free thinker. I would never use a statement like that even for the worst enemies; I would distinguish, I wouldn't feel in possession of the truth. I don't bet on the success of this government, I say it every day. And it surprises me that the one attacking in that way is the one who was generous with the Grillini and their sponsors, to the point that often – even the other day with the embarrassing, rambling, Dibba's rant – gave the impression of being Grilli Uber. I don't hold the inconsistency against you, they are his business, I know that grillini are fine for her if they hang to the left, if instead they ally themselves with Salvini they become bad. There are people who still divide humanity into fascists and anti-fascists, and reality is lost, the present, the world, 70 years of history, communism even.
Through her, actually, I take it out on the media, the Press and TV which are offering a disgusting and desolating spectacle: the Italians on one side and them united on the side of the establishment. I wouldn't have expected the opposite but at least a variety of positions and the ability to distinguish and analyze; someone equidistant, someone else who understands people's reasons, someone who recognizes pieces of truth in the opponent. No, Nothing, a Chinese army, monolithic, monotonous. Like in war. Read More

Identity exists (but there are those who deny it)

Of Ernesto Galli of the Loggia
Identity exists (but there are those who deny it)
Source: Corriere della Sera
Every time it decides to commit suicide, the Left knows that it can always count on those who are ready to help it get the shot in the barrel.: they are the intellectuals on his side. Who in turn know that whatever they say or do they can always count on the masochistic silence of their victim. This is the first reflection that comes to mind when reading Tomaso Montanari's long article «The invented identity of Italians» (The Fact, 10 September). And immediately afterwards one cannot help but think that on certain subjects in Italy any discussion is impossible since instead of trying to understand the other's reasons everyone repeats their own like a mantra for the public of aficionados. Montanari's thesis is perfectly expressed by the title of the article: the Italian identity does not exist. In his opinion, the term identity itself is a cursed term, serving only to fuel "the poison of identity rhetoric" and therefore to justify the "us" against "them", the doctrines of «rejection», «the concentration camps in Libya», the «foreigner as enemy» as well as obviously «the cultural paradigms (…) connected to the ghosts of Nazi-fascist nationalism", the "Italians first" and so on sermonizing. All infamies attributable precisely to the infamous concept of identity. Read More

Don't be afraid of sovereignists

FIFTH COLUMN
Of Marcello Veneziani
Don't be afraid of sovereignists
Source: Marcello Veneziani
Even in Sweden the sovereignist wave is growing, but not enough to overturn the government structures. The Le Pen pattern is repeated, with the Front National first in consensus but not able to be a majority nor able to find allies. And at that point the anti-sovereign coalition is born, all against one, and stunted governments arise on fragile alliances (like in Germany or Spain), with presidents unwanted by two-thirds of the population (France) or spurious coalitions like here. Or even two are born, three “national” parties cannibalizing each other (English case with the bifurcated Conservatives plus Ukip). The real problem is that we are in the middle of the ford, and therefore the situation risks paralysis between the not yet and the no longer. Because then the pro-European governments of moderates and progressives combine two weaknesses and two declines, they drag countries into political coalitions of mere survival, within crumbling systems, subordinated to the economic potentates, away from the people, within a Europe reduced to a monetary union in the name of the control apparatus. But let's go back to the representation and the perception that people have of it, the media give it, gives it the power.
Today's Europe is founded on fear. Fear of the foreigner for some, fear of nationalists for talatri. Xenophobia and nationphobia are the two dominant political categories, le twin towers dell’Europa. But with fear you don't make sensible choices. Read More

The Benedict Option. A strategy for Christians in a post-Christian world
The holy monk from Norcia saved Europe from the decline of the Roman Empire with his "ora et labora". Today Rod Dreher proposes to transform Christian homes into many monasteries to free contemporary civilization from drugs and smartphones.
“Move away from the most followed media. Turn off the television. Put away your smartphones. Read books. Play games. Compose music. Party with your neighbors. It is not enough to avoid what is bad: one must also embrace what is good.” Nonconformism, personal commitment, fidelity to the strong aspects of Western history and thought: these are the inspiring principles of “The Benedict Option. A strategy for Christians in a post-Christian world” (San Paolo editions) di Rod Dreher. The strategy is to transform the homes and meeting places of Christians into monasteries where they live, work, and we pray with the commitment and profound intensity of the Benedictine monasteries. The book, presented in an interview by Martino Cervo on “La Verità” il 31 last August, In recent weeks it has aroused strong interest and unexpected debates throughout Italy. Also because in the meantime the post-Christian world and Church crisis scenario has generated sensational news events. Read More

European elections, Casini tifa per l'accozzaglia: "Tutti uniti contro i sovranisti"

The senator elected with the Democratic Party calls for a single list in view of the May elections
Emma Bonino, Laura Boldrini, Beatrice Lorenzin and Carlo Calenda. Pier Ferdinando Casini he looks at them and asks them, in view of European elections of May 2019, to create a common front against all sovereignists.
