Former Muslims against Bergoglio: "Propone il Corano come salvezza"

In the article, Catholic ecclesiastical offices are used in reference to the conciliars, That, but, as we know, I'm not (n.d.r.).
The letter addressed to Pope Bergoglio and published online is gathering support. The authors: “We don't understand your position on Islam”
Of Giuseppe De Lorenzo
The letter has a clear recipient: Pope Francis. And it was written by a group of Muslims converted to Catholicism who see their choice wavering in the face of "the teaching" of the Pontiff "regarding Islam", considered too weak and incapable of defining the religion of Allah for what it "can only be": or “the Antichrist”.
It is a sort of "branch correction”, like the one published last July and which thickens the circle of criticism around Francis. And a that document signed by theologians and priests, as well as i Dubia presented by four cardinals o to profession of truth written by three bishops of Kazakhstan, they targeted Amoris Laetitia and the openings on communion for divorced people, this time the faithful contest the position taken by the Pope (also in Evangelii Gaudium) towards the religion of Muhammad.
“We tried to contact her, but we have never received the slightest message that our letters have been received". Thus begins the letter signed by over 1700 people and which will be presented to the Vatican "as soon as a significant number of signatories has been reached". The authors, all former Muslims converted to Christ, they cite the code of Canon Law to justify this initiative of theirs which is based on "law, and indeed sometimes also the duty" that the faithful have "to express to the sacred Pastors their thoughts on what concerns the good of the Church”.
“We don't understand his teaching about Islam”, they write, because “if Islam is intrinsically a good religion, as she seems to teach, for what reason we have become Catholics?”. And again: “His words perhaps do not cast doubt on the validity of the choice we have made, at the risk of our lives?”.
It is unclear who is behind the petition. IlGiornale.it tried to contact the only email address made available, but without receiving a response yet. There are certainly numerous believers who have already joined the appeal and the number grows as the news spreads in Catholic circles (and not). “While the Gospel announces the good news of Jesus died and rose again for the salvation of all – we read in the letter – Allah has nothing to offer except war and the killing of 'infidels' in exchange for his paradise.". It is the dialogue so sought by Francis that ex-Muslims do not share: “We do not confuse Islam and Muslims – they specify – but if for you 'dialogue' is the path to peace, for Islam it is just a different way of waging war. Therefore (…) do-goodism in the face of Islam is a suicidal and very dangerous choice. How can we talk about peace and support Islam at the same time, as she seems to do?”.
For the signatories, “scandalized by the praise paid” to Muhammad, it is "disturbing" that the "Pope intends to propose the Koran as a way of salvation". The reference is to the message sent by Bergoglio for World Migrant Day 2014, when the Pontiff said that all men must "rip" from their hearts "the disease that poisons our lives". Then specifying that Christians must do it "with the Bible" and Muslims "with the Koran". But if even the sacred book of Allah becomes a "way to salvation" for Bergoglio, ask the authors of the letter, “We should therefore return to Islam?”.
The text, made public online on Christmas Day (laws), continues with a "plea" to the Pope not to "look for an ally in Islam in the battle he is waging against the powers that seek to enslave the world". And he warns against sermons in favor of welcoming migrants, position that "does not take into account the fact that they are Muslims": “We don't understand – it reads – how you can plead the cause of Muslims who want to practice their religion in Europe. (…) The Good Shepherd is the one who chases away the wolf, certainly not the one who lets him enter the sheep pen".
The final request is for "a frank and direct discussion on Islam" from Bergoglio, so that "Catholics coming from Islam" can "confirm their conversion a Jesus Christ”. Because "every complacent attitude" towards the Koran "is a betrayal", the authors of the letter write. “And we don't want the West to continue to Islamize itself, nor that she contributes to it with her action".
