The relevance of the message sent to them still amazes.
For some time we have been hearing about statuettes of the Madonna weeping blood: public opinion, Catholic and non-Catholic, she was disturbed or astonished by it.
Regardless of what personal beliefs may be regarding these manifestations, they lead us to reflect on the meaning that such realities have always had in the history of Christianity.
Leaving the final judgment on recent events to the legitimate ecclesiastical authorities, we observe that, already in the last century, the Holy Virgin, in apparitions recognized as authentic by the Church, he entrusted messages and prophecies to visionaries which then promptly occurred.
Here we intend to talk about the apparition of the Madonna on the La Salette mountain, (village of Dauphiné, little distant da Corps, on the road between Grenoble and Gap), because the message of the Holy Virgin is both very current and little known: its diffusion, Indeed, was hampered due to its content, in particular that part that concerns us most closely today.
Il 19 September 1846 Melania Calvat, together with Massimo Giraud, they said they had received a message and a secret during an apparition of the Madonna.
Dal 1860 Melania, then entered religion with the name of Mary of the Cross – Victim of Jesus, proceeded with several redactions of his secret, until one was declared authentic, published in 1879 with l’imprimatur of the Bishop of Lecce, while the French ecclesiastical authority did not want to grant ecclesiastical recognition for some time. The story of the apparition of the Madonna at La Salette, (where today stands a grandiose sanctuary, destination of an important procession 19 September of each year), can be considered, for our purposes, essentially composed of two main parts.
The first part describes the events that affected a large part of Europe at the time, and which occurred punctually: civil wars in France, (the Paris Commune), in Portugal, (struggles for the institution of the republic), in Italy, (wars of independence); end of the temporal power of the popes, (breach of Porta Pia del 1870); famines; fights against religion, (law on friars of the Cavour government, ecclesiastical politics of Gambetta and Ferry in France); moral laxity; ecclesiastical decay.
The second part, (which we report in its entirety in the following pages so that everyone can evaluate and judge in conscience), it is the most discussed part of the secret, because it refers to the coming of the antichrist and the spread of heresy within the Church itself.
It is clearly said in the prophecy that Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist.
These are extremely serious words, which must be connected to those that follow in the message itself, and that is to the tireless certainty of the final victory of good over evil, to the invitation to perseverance in the Roman Catholic apostolic faith, to ongoing assistance for apostles of the end times.
The message part, which we report, is a translation of the approved text in French, as reported in the book Blessings and curses, prophecies of private revelation by JEAN VAQUIÉ, Dominique Martin Morin Editor, 1987, ISBN 2-85652-094-4, That, around you, refers to M.CALVAT, The apparition of the Most Holy Virgin on the mountain of La Salette,Imprimatur: Mgr. …The rulers will all have the same project, which will be to abolish and make all religious principles disappear and replace them with materialism, atheism, spiritualism, and all sorts of vices.
In the year 1865 the abomination will be seen in the holy places; in the convents the flowers of the Church will be putrefied and the devil will become like the king of hearts.
Those who are at the head of religious communities should beware of the people they must receive, because the devil will use all his malice to introduce people addicted to sin into religious orders, because disorders and the love of carnal pleasures will be spread throughout the earth.
The France, Italy, Spain and England will be at war: blood will flow in the streets; the Frenchman will fight against the Frenchman, Italian against Italian, then there will be a general war which will be frightening. For some time God will no longer remember France or Italy, because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is no longer known.
The wicked used all their cunning; we will kill each other, we will massacre each other even in our homes.
At the first blow of His lightning sword the mountains and all nature will tremble with fear because the disorders and crimes of men pierce the celestial vault.
Paris will be burned and Marseilles swallowed up; many large cities will be shaken and swallowed by earthquakes; one will believe that all is lost; you will only see murders; all you will hear is gunshots and blasphemies.
The righteous will suffer greatly, their prayers, their penance and their tears will rise up to Heaven and all the people of God will ask for forgiveness and mercy and will ask for My help and My intercession.
Then Jesus Christ with an act of His great mercy for the righteous will command His angels that all His enemies be put to death.
Suddenly the persecutors of the Church of Jesus Christ and all men addicted to sin will die and the earth will become like a desert.
Then peace will be made, the reconciliation of God with men; Jesus Christ will be served, adored and glorified; Charity will flourish everywhere.
The new kings will be the right arm of the Holy Church, that will be strong, humble, pia, poor, zealous and imitator of the virtues of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel will be preached everywhere and men will make great progress in faith because there will be unity among the workers of Jesus Christ and because men will live in the fear of God.
This peace between men will not be long: twenty-five years of abundant harvests will make them forget that the sins of men are the cause of all the punishments that come to earth.
A precursor of the antichrist, with his troops from several nations, will fight against the true Christ, the only Savior of the world, he will shed a lot of blood and will want to destroy the cult of God to make himself look like a God.
The earth will be hit by all sorts of plagues, (beyond the plague and famine that will be everywhere), there will be wars until the last war, which will then be done by ten kings of the antichrist, all of which kings will have the same plan and will be the only ones to govern the world.
Before this happens there will be a kind of false peace in the world; all you will think about is having fun; the wicked will indulge in every kind of sin; but the children of the Holy Church, the children of faith, my true imitators will believe in the love of God and in the virtues that are dearest to me.
Happy are the humble souls guided by the Holy Spirit! I will fight with them until they are in the fullness of their age. Nature demands revenge for men and it trembles with fear in anticipation of what must come to the earth soiled by crimes.
Tremble on earth and you who profess to adore Jesus Christ and who within yourselves adore only yourselves; tremble because God is about to hand you over to His enemy, because the holy places are in corruption, many convents are no longer the houses of God, but the pastures of Asmodeus and his men.
It will be during this time that the antichrist will be born from a Jewish nun, by a false virgin who will be in communication with the old serpent, the master of impurity; his father will be Bishop, when he is born he will vomit blasphemies, he will have teeth, in a word he will be the devil incarnate; he will let out frightening screams, he will do wonders, it will only feed on impurities.
He will have brothers who, although they are not incarnate demons like him, they will be children of evil; at twelve years of age they will be noted for the valiant victories they will achieve; soon they will each be at the head of the armies assisted by the legions of hell.
The seasons will have changed, the earth will produce only bad fruit, the stars will lose their regular movements, the moon will reflect only a faint reddish light; water and fire will give the terrestrial globe convulsive movements and horrible earthquakes that will swallow up mountains, of cities.
Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist. The demons of the air with the antichrist will do great wonders on earth and in the air and men will become more and more perverted.
God will take care of his faithful servants and men of good will; the Gospel will be preached everywhere, all peoples and all nations will know the truth.
I make an urgent appeal to the earth; I call the true imitators of Christ made man, the only and true Savior of men; I call my children , my true devotees, those who have given themselves to Me so that I may lead them to My divine Son, those that I carry, so to speak, in my arms, those who lived by My Spirit; finally I call the Apostles of the end times, the disciples of Jesus Christ who lived in contempt of the world and of themselves, in poverty and humility, in contempt and silence, in prayer and mortification, in chastity and union with God, in suffering and unknown to the world.
It is time for them to go out and come to illuminate the earth.
Go and show yourselves like my dear children; I am with you and in you as long as your faith is the light that illuminates you in these days of misfortune.
May your zeal make you like those hungry for the glory and honor of Jesus Christ.
Fight, children of light, Oh, small number that you see us, because here is the time of times, the end of ends.
The Church will be eclipsed, the world will be in consternation.
But here is Enoch and Elijah filled with the Spirit of God; they will preach with the strength of God and men of good will will believe in God and many souls will be consoled; they will make great progress by virtue of the Holy Spirit and will condemn the diabolical errors of the antichrist.
Misfortune to the inhabitants of the earth!
There will be terrible wars and famines; plagues and contagious diseases; it will rain a terrible hail of animals; thunder that will shake the cities; earthquakes that will engulf countries; voices will be heard in the air; men will beat their heads against the walls, they will call death, on the other hand, death will torment them; blood will flow everywhere.
Who will be able to live if God does not shorten the time of trial ?
From blood, God will be appeased by the tears and prayers of the righteous; Enoch and Elijah will be put to death; Pagan Rome will disappear; fire from heaven will fall and destroy three cities; the whole universe will be struck by terror and many will allow themselves to be seduced because they have not adored the true living Christ among them.
It's time, the sun darkens; faith alone will live.
Here's the time, the abyss opens.
Here is the king of darkness.
Here is the beast with his subjects, self-styled savior of the world.
He will proudly rise into the air to go up to Heaven; he will be suffocated by the breath of Saint Michael the Archangel.
He will fall and the earth which will be in continuous evolution for three days, he will open his bosom full of fire; he will be sunk forever with all his people in the eternal abyss of hell.
Then water and fire will purify the earth and will consume all the works of men's pride and everything will be renewed: God will be served and glorified.
We do not intend to provide interpretations of a text linked to prophetic and apocalyptic expressions, fully intelligible only at the moment of its realization, nor do we intend to thicken the ranks of millennialists, especially in the Protestant context, indicate precise deadlines for the parousia, but we cannot help but question the meaning of this message either, perhaps today too neglected by the official Church, which coincides with the Apocalypse, where it speaks of martyrs who will remain faithful to the word of God and who had not worshiped the beast and of the prince of darkness who will have to be loosed for a short time, (Apocalypse, XX, 1-10).
As one of the most famous scholars in the sector claims, the Jesuit Ugo Vanni, reflecting on eschatological messages «warns us both against the disengagement of an inert pessimism, and from the illusion of a paradise on earth […] it requires that we take responsibility for robust faith, which, (aware as he is of collaborating with an ever-present and active but transcendent Christ), strives to give your best, but without claiming to control the result". (UGO VANNI, The literary structure of the Apocalypse, Morcelliana, Brescia, 1980 ).
The evangelical exhortation warns: Therefore, you also be prepared, because you do not know by what coast the Son of man will come , (So you too be prepared, because the Son of man will come in the most unexpected hour), (Matteo, XXIV, 44).
