From today Italy is a Chinese colony. The newspapers write it. Before the mandarins invaded us with their goods we were a free country. Now our children will be born with almond-shaped eyes and we will shrink by a few centimeters per year on average. The skin of our fellow countrymen will increasingly tend towards yellow and we will pronounce the "l" instead of the "r" to linguistically empathize with our new masters. After Inter, Juventus will also go to the Chinese and will never win a championship again. The objects will break soon but we won't bother repairing them because they will cost less and we will replace them with others of shorter duration. We will say Amelica instead of America and decline instead of expensive. What a bad slope with neighboring China. Yet something doesn't add up in these four renminbi stories that we read in the newspapers. With the initiative to welcome the Chinese with open arms we would have antagonized everyone, from the EU to the USA, who do not see such an approach well. Beijing is the West's main competitor on a global level, say these great fife analysts, yet Washington and Brussels, despite some reproaches, they would have let us do it. Let's be serious. If the Americans did not object, with all their might, as on the occasion of the agreements with the Russians for the gas pipelines, it's because they don't fear the Middle Empire as much as other adversaries, less enterprising economically but much better equipped militarily and "geopolitically".
