The yellow-green government enjoys broad general consensus and broad particular dissent. Don't take me for crazy, it is pure reality. If you see the polls, remains firm around the 60% electoral political consensus in government, with the only difference of an internal transfer in favor of the League and to the detriment of the 5 Star movement.

But if you then read what people think about citizenship income, of waste-to-energy plants, of pensions, of the Table, of tax levies, of the Great Works, then the picture turns upside down, the absolute majority is against the government's positions. How to explain this schizophrenia which an analyst like Luca Ricolfi so sagaciously focused on yesterday? With the miracle-mockery that two different electorates come together, indeed antagonists.
The positions of the 5 Stars in matters of development, of economy and society gather at best the consensus of a quarter, perhaps a third of the electorate; two-thirds if not three-quarters are on the opposite side. The positions of the League, not only on those economic and social issues, but also in terms of safety, order, family, they are instead shared by the majority of Italians. The result of their alliance is that by adding two divergences they create a majority convergence. Absurd situation, difficult to sustain for long. But there is no alternative, per i 5stelle, for the League, for Italy. Salvini at least has an alternative solution in perspective, recompose what was once the centre-right under his leadership; but he knows that at present there are not the numbers to govern in that way and a Berlusconi as an ally, albeit in a clear minority, he would cause more problems and annoyances than Di Maio. He just has to hope that that creature that looms among the Brothers of Italy, Thick, hopefully Toti and other Forza supporters, can give rise to a second autonomous and consistent leg with which to ally in the vote and get rid of the grillini. The grillini's latest nonsense is about garbage and waste-to-energy plants or incinerators (they are not the same thing, but just to clarify). Raggi's glaring failure in terms of rubbish wasn't enough for them, which he pays millions to dispose of (male) the waste in the Austrian waste-to-energy plants that he did not want us to build. The grillini declare themselves against making them in Campania too because, they say, mafia associations would be infiltrated. It's the usual argument with which they blocked the Olympics in Rome, and public works everywhere; it's the stupid excuse to reject every initiative, every enterprise and every attempt at development and modernization. False argument, what's more, because it has been proven that the Camorra, the mafias, they benefit in the management of the waste and landfill racket, much more than with waste-to-energy plants. Indeed the second is a possibility, the first is already a reality, and for a long time.
In short, at this point the number one problem in Italy is clear: it's not the government, but it's the grillini in government (to the opposition, however, they could even be useful). They travel with the handbrake, they don't know how to drive, they don't know the way, they even reject the navigator because it is too modern and perhaps produced by companies with the smell of mafia and conspiracy. Plus there is the annoying contour of ornamental plants such as the Ficus a Montecitorio, the barrage of blunders from their ministers and ladies, the carousel of idiotic gestures (Like Toninelli with a closed fist).
Therefore, exactly like the Italians, I too am torn, dissociated, between support for the government due to lack of alternatives, out of contempt for the potentates and out of sympathy for the positions of the League; and open dissent, net, radical towards that band of ignorant and amateur grillini. You don't hope for the government to fall out of charity for your country, because you don't see alternatives and because you don't want larvae of opponents who have brought us to this point and who also have unbearable ideological and mental debris to take advantage of it (the disaster) or they are now cumbersome caryatids (Berlusconi).
But you know that it can't last long like this, you can only hope for a reversal of roles, rifts within 5 place, decant, reshuffles in the majority.
To console us, let's say that the story of two allies condemned to govern together it is not an unprecedented pathology. It happened in the past too. The most sensational case was the cohabitation in government of De Mita's DC and Craxi's PSI, who thought oppositely about almost everything, they had opposite characters and what's more they hated each other - unlike Salvini and Di Maio who at least still have a feeling, a common enemy and are “populists”. There were two opposing parties in the same government, he Caf (Craxi, Andreotti, Fanfani) and the big snake De Mita, Republicans, more newspapers, potentates and PCI. They lived together badly, until Tangentopoli exploded and a part was eradicated by the judges (he Caf), the other by the voters. Once the parenthesis of the past is over, let's return to the present, indeed to the future. The moment of truth is probably postponed until spring.
Meanwhile, we are worriedly witnessing the war between incinerators and incinerators. And the rubbish enjoy the show...
