Colossal fine for Miteni, Noah’s initiative

Two days ago the environmental police apparently imposed a fine on the company 3,6 million for omitted environmental communications. The company: «Failure to send a certificate will be sanctioned. We will appeal."

However, the size of the figure, which would have been calculated also due to the failure and repeated communication of some environmental certifications to the relevant authorities, places a boulder, among others, on the request for an agreement that the company made to the Berico court a few weeks ago. True to invoke the intervention of the competent bodies over and over again, also on an administrative level, so that sanctions could be imposed on the factory, they had been committees and even some political forces on several occasions like the M5S.
In more detail, the huge fine, (3,7 million the amount according to state TV; 3,6 according to Miteni) it would have been notified the day before yesterday during a visit by Noe to the company; visit of which solo Vicenzatoday.it (as well as the blog writes) they had given the news. The company did not comment on the very first ones.
Miteni's response
Miteni's head of press office Giorgio Tedeschi confirmed the delivery by Noe of "administrative documents that the company is still examining". Specifically, the sanction was imposed on Davide Drusian, responsible for the safety of the plant and jointly and severally with Miteni, in its capacity as a legal person. Miteni president Martin Leitgeb and Domenico De Rosa were also informed of the documents, responsible for the insolvency proceedings requested by the same company for a few weeks.
In the morning Tedeschi explained that the fine that hit Miteni would concern the failure to send an environmental certificate which however contains, This is the company's version, information «which has already been sent to the relevant bodies. Due to the fact that the failure to send this certificate dates back to 2013 – Tedeschi further argues, a fine of two thousand euros per day was imposed for the alleged delay, so much so as to reach the amount of 3,6 millions". Tedeschi also underlines that the company will appeal directly "to the Ministry of the Environment" and that there are thirty days from the notification to proceed in this direction.
