Mimmo Lucano is a martyr and Riace's welcome is a model, almost like the Calabrian magistrates, in stopping him, they moved in homage to the Northern League member Matteo Salvini. Lucano is currently suspended and subject to a residence ban in Riace, after involvement in the “Xenia” investigation.

The judges not only entered into the legitimacy but also the merits of the issue, bridging the spectrum of information on what happened as much as they can.
Lucan has an obsession with power that the judges call “delirium of omnipotence”, fueled by the international visibility given by articles, films and documentaries that tell the story of Riace and his own, like when the magazine Fortune he inserted it among the 50 most influential men on the planet, together with Obama and the Pope. a system, Riace, which is anything but a model, “opaque and worm-ridden by a thousand illegalities within it”, the judges of Liberty write.
 
The accusations with evidence against Lucano, of having arranged false marriages between immigrants and of having illicitly entrusted the waste collection and urban cleaning service to two cooperatives, they must be inserted into a broader framework of electoral calculations to maintain power over Riace.
“The political-electoral advantage of Lucan reigns supreme and on more than one occasion it takes the lead counts the votes that would have been derived from the people employed at associations and/or recipients of work grants and occasional services, people, many of whom are useless for work purposes or even do not carry out the task entrusted to them, overabundant compared to needs and yet hired or remunerated even occasionally for political-electoral returns”, it's written on the device.

And the public official does nothing (he is mayor) Lucan. And when an interlocutor tells him about the signatures collected in support, he lets it slip away: “But can you imagine that they saw that I did these tricks in this way”.

The judges are baffled by the sequence of subterfuge. As with the oil mill for migrants, purchased with state money which Lucano and the other collaborators know very well is useless and "left there to rot", the magistrates write. Same situation for the "chocolate laboratories", “the fair trade shop” and the other laboratories. Question that emerges when a Greek minister, who chose Riace to learn about the model, finds himself in a organized lunch by the mayor but paid with i money given by the State to the unaccompanied minor immigrant project.
 
An omnipresent waste of public money, the judges still say: “Lucano with his speakerphone confesses that he spent more on the feast of Saints Cosimo and Damiano 100.000 euros of which only 45.000 to pay the singer Vecchioni. It was ascertained that the Municipality had not allocated sums of money for the town's patronal festival and that these had been partly found from the associations using the funds received from the ministry and the prefecture for the management of refugees."

The suspect lives beyond the rules, that he believes, on the other hand, to be able to violate with impunity with a view to “the end justifies the means", the robes explain.
And then we need to avoid losing funding from the Prefecture.
Lucan: “We shouldn't lose money for the prefecture, we have to study a system… the let's disappear too 2-3000 euros per month… social workers, reporting officers, legal assistant"
“Everything is done to cover the shortfall and obtain financing”, inflating invoices and continuing to collect to cover the holes and make it seem like everything is in order.
 
“The circumstance, flaunted in every way", the judges still say, “according to which the suspect did not take even a cent of public money for himself, as well as still susceptible to rigorous verification, it certainly does not obscure or weaken the fact that he was the driving force of that whole system, who was mayor and at the same time hidden de facto president of the largest association, who was the first and absolute creator of the new Riace". It would be interesting to understand what will happen to the purchased homes, with public money, by private individuals to provide accommodation for immigrants. This practice is not permitted because whoever receives the accommodation must already have it. But we are in Riace which is a model!
 
200 pages of motivation that demonstrate how Lucan “he cannot manage public affairs (…) he is totally incapable of doing so, and what is even more important, in the name of humanitarian principles and in the name of constitutionally guaranteed rights he violates the law with alarming naturalness and unscrupulousness”.
 
And finally even the image of the disinterested benefactor disappears, when planning a political candidacy as head of the list, in order to stem the legal action against him.
“With callid coldness", the judges write, “once it has been established that he is the subject of judicial as well as administrative investigations, he planned his candidacy for political elections as head of the list in order to stem the legal action against him”.
Lucan: “My intention is that… that… as far as the judicial aspects are concerned, it is convenient for me…”

Now it would be stupid and exaggerated to compare the Riace scandal to that of the Capital Mafia or similar cases or not to see any good in the immigrant reception project implemented 20 years earlier in the Calabrian town by Lucano himself, but it is equally ridiculous to hide words and things, beyond any reasonable doubt and all judicial events that will follow.
 
In the face of these acts it seems clear that ideology drugs the discussion and manipulates the facts, whether you are right or left. The consideration emerges spontaneously if we compare the interceptions of Mimmo Lucano and the words of the Court of Freedom with the reactions of the Italian intelligentsia.
 
Even if on the left, from the time of Tangentopoli, the truth has been delegated to the mouths of the magistrates, this axiom does not affect those who welcome immigrants, like Lucan. The left has delegated the truth to the judiciary as if judges are not human, with everyone's strengths and weaknesses, but superior entities, ethics that know how to tell us what is good and what is bad (when instead they must only be sentinels of the law).
 
But this axiom did not apply to Lucan which was welcomed with red carpet by Fabio Fazio a What's the weather like? su Rai 1, trattato come a victim of intellectuals like Roberto Saviano the dal Mayor of Naples Louis De Magistris, defended by journalist Milena Gabanelli who says he hasn't read the papers accusing him but that “Lucano at least did some things, what he did is exemplary.".
The mayor has become a symbol to be brought into every program, respectable event and assembly. Because we know that the left-wing mayor must be not only technically good but also a little good’ revolutionary; that is, he must know how to put humanity before the coldness of the laws. But the humanity that shines through Lucan's interceptions is a very poor thing, than what would be expected, not even worthy of those who really believe in left-wing values.
 
The Italian media, heavily controlled by the left-wing intelligentsia, instead they prefer to repeat the usual clichés in trying to shift public opinion.
Before intervening, perhaps someone would have done better to read the interceptions of Lucano's words or the investigation by the investigators (they would take 5 minutes to find the judicial documents)? Hard to say. Or maybe they even did it and see it differently. But certainly this way, which is repeated every time, it adds nothing good or different to our time and to this country, if not the desire to maintain one's dominion and unchallenged power, even to the detriment of reality.
