New York, 24 Jan – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law Tuesday evening that makes abortion legal up to one day before the due date. It's not a horror film, it's really happening. The decree, called The Reproductive Health Act, it passed with 38 votes in favor and 28 opposite. Cuomo said: “Today we take a giant step in the fight for every woman's right to make your own health choices personal: including having free access to abortion practices". In this forest of conquered rights, Therefore, the only ones who lack it are children, that is, those who should be most protected. The health of the latter evidently does not matter, because in fact the law allows it the killing of a nine-month-old fetus, fully developed and sentient, via injection of potassium into the heart, and the "extraction" via induced birth.

The law cancels the previous limitations on abortion at the 24th week of gestation. And it establishes: “Every pregnant individual has the fundamental right to carry a pregnancy to term, give birth to the baby, or abort". The most disturbing and inhumane aspect of the issue is that the provision cancels, in fact, the crime of murder under the New York penal code attributable to those who terminate the life of a fetus in the last trimester of pregnancy. Prima, anyone guilty of this crime risked a sentence of up to seven years in prison. Now this is no longer the case. Why, in the event that a woman suffers such violence after the sixth month of pregnancy that she loses her baby, the attacker would not be punishable for that particular crime.

The protests of Republicans, conservatives and Christian and pro-life associations were not long in coming. They flocked from all over America words of condemnation of the measure. But Cuomo stated: “With the signing of this bill, we are sending the clear message that, whatever happens in Washington, Women in New York will have the fundamental right to control their bodies.". For the umpteenth time, a battle liberal in favor of someone's "rights" translates into inhuman abuse against someone else.
